how to remove old white primer

I used a can of crappy old white primer on some of my minis and didn\'t realize it was \"powdery.\" Now the minis I sprayed with it are covered in a powder residue that won\'t just brush off.

Can anyone tell me how to get it off without damaging the pewter?

Thanks,

Myst

I use Simple Green diluted with water (about 2:1). Let it soak for a couple of hours and it usually comes right off with some warm water, dish soap and a toothbrush.

I\'ve had decent luck with brake fluid, but that stuff is nasty and shouldn\'t be handled by pregnant women (if there is one in the house)

I 2nd brake fluid... I tried a lot of diff ones - brake fluid is the best. Just be careful! wear gloves, mask, etc. Keep it away from kids / pets.

It\'s also reusable no water how dirty it gets (my small container looks like oil since I strip so many cos I either hate my work or just cos I suck! :p)
