How to sculpt fingers?

All the tutorials make it look so easy.

How does one sculpt individual fingers in 28mm?
Does each finger have a wire armature inside, for this scale?

I tried using sculpey firm, but it's still too soft and the fingers deform when I try to shape them.

Start with a mitten shape and work from there.
Also don't try starting off with a 28mm size, start bigger and practice getting smaller each time.

The hands are not supported by any other surface, so that makes doing the fingers harder.

I would have the item glued on to the armature and then use the item to support the fingers as you sculpt them

Looking good dude, the hands are a little large but I like where your headed. So for me I can't sit still with one medium and always jump around to different materials. I had the best luck with sculpting small hands with green stuff, then gluing/pinning them onto the mini. You shouldn't need a wire armature for something that small. If you did use an armature I would say just a little straight piece pinned into the sculpty to do the arm and hand.
