Hey.
Cutting straight to the chase, how would you go about replicating the red on this guys\' cloak?

In case anyone\'s interested, I\'ll go ahead and elaborate too. After more than a few years of backburner autopilot army painting, I\'ve started taking mini painting seriously again recently. I\'ve read up on lots of color theory and general artistic literature since then, but I notice that when the minis n paints come out, I still think in terms of old-school GW paint names and if I don\'t watch myself, I have a terribly narrow view of what pots goes well together as shades n highlights. So I figure it\'s time to break out of the complacency and not resort to old tricks as soon as something difficult comes along.
My attempts in this case so far has involved GW Vermin Brown, VMC926 Red, and VMC Transparent Red. I\'m guessing it\'s the transparent red that\'s messing up my results because it\'s too purple, but it\'s been my autopilot red glazing crutch for years.
