Every time I see this model I am blown away with the quality..
This time it\'s not just the model but the paint as well..
Love the blood string really fitting ..
The freehand on the inside of the cloak is subtle and nicely done.
The whole style of the painting and the overall look is really a nice sight..thank you for sharing.
As for the base I quite like it. Although a bit bright white it doesn\'t draw attention away from the mini.
You could maybe try breaking up the white at the front with a little blood or rocks or clumps of vegetation ..something to just break it up a little bit also not sure wether the blue plants work...
other than that stunning...

Really thank you m8, advices like yours are exactly what I\'m looking for. I agree with you about the white front slope which lacks of something, I hope to find what here.
Thanks again :)

Voted and commented!
Other nitpicky suggestions:
the fur on the cloak is much better looking than his hair, unless you wanted it to look a bit frizzed-out.
I think the small bits of blue on the base complement the overall browns of the figure.
Chainmail on the right arm look kinda gray, not metallic.
see comment for others - but again, I had to stare at the fig for almost 15 minutes to spot these!

I cant really think of a thing to say to help improve this peice. Only 20 hrs you say man I couldnt paint that good in 20 days. Great stuff and a great mini. Did the vote thing.

That is one awesome mini  The freehand is sublime, and the dripping blood is amazing! I\'ll just echo what everyone else has said - fantastic work!

I love it. I think that the base could use something in the front, rocks might be the easiest solution to that.

How did you do the dripping blood?

Thanks for all your comments and feedback. I\'m gonna improve the left arm chainmail, the hair and add some rocks on the base. The roughness of the nmm on the right axe is due to the proximity of this part to the digital camera and to the reflexion of a bad positioned lamp. Note that I NEVER Photoshop my minis.
@Drake: for the dipping blood I used this glue:
colla.JPG

When applied, I painted it with red and chestnut inks.

Nice hint there on the blood drip. one question how stiff does it dry ??
I\'m just doing some nids and it would probably work well as saliva ..

I can\'t see the name on the tube. What is it called? Is it available in the U.S. ?

First of all I want to say this is a fantastic mini, and I\'m giving it a 10. But on the other hand, there is something about teh blood that bothers me. The flow thing is fantastic, that\'s also worth a high score as well, but if it\'s flowing so well it\'s got to be fresh (I suppose the bodyless head also indicates that) and if it\'s fresh it\'s got to be warm right? Well at least not ice cold. But the \"warm\" blood stains the ice, like a Italian Ice, it doesn\'t even partially melt it.
