It was kinda fun to do. What do you think of this color scheme before I paint it much crappier in real life?

Crikey...

This looks quite convincing. Will it open a can of worms?

I think the colours work fine but I\'m not sure about the skin tone although it fits the scheme okay.

That\'ve a very cool idea to try out a colorscheme before you do it...

Photoshop painting

My example was already greyscale, but if you took a pic of a mini, turn it to greyscale, then back to RGB.
Then I pick a brush and use the \"Color\" option instead of \"Normal\". This colorizes the picture with the color you have selected based on it\'s grey value, and you can\'t lose any detail at this stage.
This lets you base coat in about 2 minutes the whole mini.
Then I switch to a regular brush with about 80% opacity to do the dark parts.
Then I switch to 30% opacity for the light parts. And actually kinda paint it.
Then I add highlights etc on the gems with a pale yellow or beige.
Then darkline it with a 1 pixel brush using black brown.
Hey, it sounds just like real painting.lol

Why bother? If I was just browsing I wouldn\'t suspect a thing and I am sure that if you spent a little more time on it no one would.
