it does make me wonder if the emo culture is growing because of the pressure that is put on young people these days to conform....schools have turned into vicious hell holes where anyone who is seen as different is bullied mercilessly....i know this from rather nasty personal experience. nobody really seems to care about each other any more and so much creative outlet is stifled.

theres no excuse for them being beaten up though...live and let live and if people want to be different then let them be as long as they arent harming anyone else.

I agree wholeheartedly! On both parts, especially about the school, can you believe even in my art class i lost marks because i put my own spin on the topic even though i showed good technical skill which was required.

Teachers have even made comments about my hair being long and pick on me endlessly about it, not just the pupils.

Secondly teachers and pupils making fun of the ones who are \"strange\" has been around forever same with bullies, teenage angst, depression, pressure to conform and so on. Sometimes the bloody emo thing sounds like they are the only ones to have those feelings n expierences and that they somehow have a monopoly on shitty expierence. When all they do is whine more then anyone else and advertise how specially sad they are, hell it\'s half a slap in the face to people who have really suffered and found a way to get thru it.

But I agree no need to abuse the lil wankers.

sorry that was a typo, chavs or neds are a cultural group in the uk, generally described as the kids going around with the baseball caps, tracksuits or hooded sweaters causing havoc in the streets. i wont post my veiws on them here but there is quite a lot of conflict between them and goths and they are usually responsible for most of the antisocial behavior. i dont know if they are called the same things in different countries.

i do agree with you however Friar, it is a bit of a slap in the face to people who have suffered and found a way to get through it. i know people whove been through living hell and yet are still cheerful about life. Even someone i know who has so many forms of cancer and degenerative bone diseases that hes living on drugs and even morphine doesnt work has a better outlook on life then most emos and thats someone who has far more reason to complain

A sounds like what we call yo\'s, thugs (tho sarcasticly), lowercase g\'s (wannabe ganstas), and some others that I won\'t be posting tho not sure if on your side it\'s quite the same thing as what you got as most of these dim wits are emmulating some percieved ghetto gangster image they get from rap but live out in the country and are almost always just trying to get into trouble and act like gangster tuff guys.

and yeah another reason my kid would get sent to military school. Poor bugger is gonna have to work hard not to go it seems lol

I was using a pay phone at a food store once and this kid in som michalan man jacket comes up and asks me what I was doing using his phone, I laughed at him and he tells me \"it belongs to the manchester mafia\" once I stopped laughin a made a lil jump at him and he ran off thru the parkin lot.
