A lot of the top painters will have quite differing votes..
As there images are more visible and appealing to non members.
For example before I registered I would come onto the site. Look at Top last 7 days or top artists or top 50....I would be blown away and vote 10\'s all over the place.
Now I am registered and spend a lot more time on the forums and viewing the galleries etc I appreciate different things and am no longer as easily impressed so a little harsher at times.
It the education you receive on this fantstic site.

I was thinking that. Be very interesting. I\'ve had a little bit of a look through the top 50 and their registered votes. I think Kirill would be the new number 1 and Adrian would be very high too.

I noticed Kirill has a sickeningly high registered average.....and rightly so IMO.

I just worked out my own and it would go up from 8.6 to 8.66 so not much difference there.

I\'d say a top 50-100 from registered votes would be very interesting. I giggle to myself sometimes when I see blatant over-scoring from fanboy cliques and what have you. I have a bone of contention over certain folk. I\'m not proud of that fact, but I have today found a definite justification for some of my feelings. The Emperor\'s New Clothes have finally been shown for what they really are(n\'t) :D

I\'m really liking this feature. It made me happy to see that my registered votes/unregistered were very close in most cases.

And when I logged on today---it was gone.

Is there some work being done on it, or was it decided to remove it altogether?

Just for fun, I looked at images last night in order of \'most viewed\', just to see how popular minis fared anonymous vs. registered. For the most part, even the more popular ones fared about the same as my own humble submissions.... registered was .1 - .3 lower. There were very few examples of registered votes being higher (Queen of Crime comes to mind.) Only one was significantly lower (1 whole point.)

I say leave it anonymous. I have pretty thick skin (that\'s code for \"I know my minis are moderately sucky.... for now\") but I don\'t want to know what people gave me. Good minis get good scores and poor minis get poor scores and joke minis get great scores. Let those who want to comment beyond just punching a number do so in the public comment area, and let those who don\'t remain anonymous.

Although I would like to track down and smack whoever sniped 1\'s at an auction I was starting. Nothing is more embarrassing than a featured auction with a 4.3 score. lol

(hmmm.... looking up the link above for QoC, I don\'t see registered scores anymore. Looks like I missed something ??? )

Go back a page. It\'s been changed so you now have to turn the feature on rather than it being automatic.

Using the top five I would drop slightly but the overall trend is up, so I\'m confused lol

I turned it back on. And then I started to \"do the numbers.\" I decided to do my own numbers and see if there was a pattern between the differences between registered voters going below the average and above the average. For me there seems to be.

Note registered voters tend to give my higher scores than average for numbers below 4. Note the one odd point with a 5 average and a considerable lower registered score is my most recent one, which has 8 total votes an 9 registered votes. ???

I have removed every mention of my age on all of my minis now. Happy?

I\'m also pleased to report that within the last two days, in no more than 5 votes, Castor\'s normal average has dropped from 8.4 to 8.1.

Sadly Bill, thats the way it goes sometimes... :( hopefully if it is nasty sniping, Chern Ann\'s magic algorithm might fix it...

I\'m starting to learn, NOT to get so worked up about scores... it simply isn\'t worth it... Got to remember, that this is a matter of peoples opinions... it\'s like I say some chick is HAWT! And my friend goes \"Dude! She\'s ugly!\" because he has a different taste!

All I\'m saying is, you can\'t really be sure, and most of the times, it\'s not an accurate picture of your artistic abilities, as the miniatures usually look alot better in person.

So take off the scores if your un-happy about them or leave them on and learn to seperate yourself from their power...

I hope so. With one more vote now, he\'s dropped to 8.0. At least none of these votes (which must have been 1s) are from registered people.

Interesting find...

A picture just popped up that showed

47 votes by NON registered
and 0 votes by registered voters...and was only submitted yesterday...

Does that seem normal? Or is there something that is flubbing up the system?

Here is the pic

EDIT three more votes popped in in the short time I wrote that post....

Now 50 votes. Man, I wish I could get votes that fast....

I have to say it is an interesting idea, and I like it quite a bit. Nice to see most of mine were about the same, with a few higher and most a tenth or two lower.

That deathwing image must just be a balls up in the voting. I am registered, have voted and even left public comments and its still showing as 0 registered votes. I think Chern Ann said something about registered votes not updating automatically so the big shiney computer trickery machine must take a day or so to seperate registered votes from johnny no usernames votes
