You know, I wasn\'t going to say anything because I didn\'t want to sound like I was complaining about sniping, but my latest miniature got 23 votes its first couple of days and then 30 in the space of 2 hours this morning (along with a large drop in score). I had never seen that many votes in such a short period, so I wondered if either someone REALLY didn\'t like that miniature lol or if there was some glitch. Sounds like there may be if it happened with some others as well.

It might be possible that he put the link in a popular mini forum and non registers people are linking directly to the image and voting. If the forum is popular enough it might get votes in quickly. Note the word might. It\'s never worked for me. Then again neither has the shout box.

yeah, I\'m pretty sure Chern Ann mentioned that the registered vote thing only updated 1 time a day, so while is says he has 55 votes and 0 from registered, check back after the system updates, I\'m sure a good chance of many of those votes are registered. And he could be getting votes just from linking to a busy forum, although it is fast for a mini of that ranking. However, the score doesn\'t exactly seem that far out of line, doesn\'t seem like a problem really

No sorry....I didn\'t mean to imply that you were complaining at all. That is the same reason I made the initial post. It normally takes one of my minis a few days to reach 50....the one I posted about was over 50 in a day, and still had a \'lower\' score.

Penguin, that\'s nothing. My latest mini is at 8.9 from registered voters and 8.3 overall, with registered voters accounting for 2/3 of the votes. That must mean that the anonymous voters are giving it on average 2 whole points less than the registered voters. Considering registered voters seem to in general be a bit more stingy than anonymous voters, I\'d call that a serious anomaly.
As far as the one with no registered votes go, I checked back this morning and out of 55 votes, 36 have been from registered users, so it must be working.
It also seems to be that with the new system for picking random images, the ones with less than fifty votes tend to come up more often, which could explain why they hit 50 so quickly.

While it\'s entirely up to you whether you want to see or not, I would point out your 3 latest submissions are all rating higher from registered members than from your general (although I think your Killjoy is well undervalued from both).

What I posted was nothing more than a statement about what I saw and how I dealt with it, not a complaint or anything like that. I would just much rather remain in ignorant bliss with that much of a difference in that direction, and with the \"off button\" I can. lol
