I feel cheated

Sorry but I\'m going to moan abit. I know I should be proud that someone would copy one of my minis but I feel a bit cheated, I know I should\'nt but I think im going to cry. I was browsing pictures and I came across a dragon that looked similar to mine on closer inspection it looked damn similar, I must admit thay have done a better job but if I copied someones paint scheme I would at least give them some credit (unless it was a mainstream source like GW). Its especially annoying that they get praise for me colour scheme.Check them out and see what you think.

I think you may be being a little over-sensitive...

You\'ve both avoided the GW colour scheme, but there is no copyright on red dragons. I suspect it is just one of those coincidences that happen so often.

MicroArt Studios are a busy Polish enterprise. You can see their banner on the top right of this page. I suspect that they don\'t have much time to browse images, take a look at their gallery and site and see what I mean.

It\'s true MAS\'s dragon was posted after yours, but only by a couple of weeks. Your dragon is excellent, but I doubt MAS dropped everything to produce a copy.

Yes I think I am probaly being over sensitive. If someone does copy your ideas it can only mean that it is most likely a good idea. So I will stop crying and think positively. Its time to move on, i fell like preaching.

They are very similar but I think Microart would have started the concept and probably the painting well before youre image was posted.To be honest I think that if they did see yours they would have chosen a different colour scheme because of confusion like this.

hell, i think it\'s great if my stuff gets copied, shows i\'m an influence in the hobby, even after i left GW. Colour schemes aren\'t copyrighted, this isn\'t art, but 3D painting by numbers. If they took inpiration from your version, feel proud...unless they sold it for more on Ebay than your version went for, because I like yours better.

Well I saw and voted on both of these dragons some time ago. I agree the paint schemes are very similar, but I don\'t think you were deliberately copied. They are both wonderfully painted. I gave yours a 9 and Micro Art\'s a 10. I preferred the contrast that the Micro Art one had between the dragon and the rider and I also felt that it was slightly better painted and photography/ presentation was slightly superior to yours. However, the Micro art pics are aslo smaller so it might just be that the photograph makes it look smoother than it actually is! I left comments on both.

I chose that colour scheme for my dragon because it is part of my high elve army which is also in that colour scheme (based on fire). That picture of my dragon is also the second post of my dragon, the other post was\'nt as good because I had just bought a camera so I deleted it. Thanks for your comments.

I disagree with many here, I think that they saw a color scheme that they liked and borrowed it. I know you feel uncredited, but look how many people took time to look and comment. I am sure that I would feel the same if anyone ever posted a 9+ of an ultramarine landspeeder with 6 or 7 hormagaunts hanging off of it. I would have the satisfaction of saying \"I was first\". Now go convert something and then we will all agree if someone copies it.lol

Well copy or not... if it was then be flattered. I am when people \"copy\" my schemes. Of course it is nice to see \"Influenced by Zaphod\'s wicked figure\" but *that* never actually happens
