I found THE SUPER GLUE!

Hi everybody, my name is Mirza, and I hate superglue...
...at least the $($/\"/)§%\"\" crap by UHU I bought quite a while ago... don\'t remember the full name, \'coz the label fell off... but if you see a roughly 50ml black-capped bottle with a red label (UHU CA-Superglue), do anything but buying this stuff... it takes bloody EONS to bond, does so only with lots of pressure, you just CAN\'T disperse it as you like ( it WILL flow anywhere it darn well pleases), and the parts tend to ... well... you guess it... fall off - days later, with noone touching! ???
I still use the crap for basing issues, though... only way to get my 9,95 Euros outta it...
Just started using my girlfriend\'s \"essence\" quick nail glue... she bought it when she had a torn fingernail, and it seemed odd to me that it had the same shape as the GW one... well, label says Cyanoacrylate, it does a very good job (not unlike the GW Superglue), and it comes with that nice applying brush... nice!

Hmmm....I recently bought Zap-a-Gap from Propaintjob\'s shop - Art of War - and it\'s fantastic. The best glue I\'ve ever used and you also get a decent amount in the bottle.
I hate Loktite or whatever the stuff is called \'cos it costs an arm and a leg and you only get a teeny tiny amount in a relatively large bottle
I\'ll be sticking (pun intended) with Zap for a little while me thinks.... lol

It\'s all the f-in same stuff if you ask me. Glue..... I\'ve got some Zap-a-Gap, and it\'s been fine.
At £4.50 for 28g you can\'t complain. Locktite is something ridiculous like £3 for 3.5g.....

It was yours I used Scott, the amount of Glue in a bottle isnt what gets it thrown away. The lids often glue themselves on or it \'goes off\'.
One 5g bottle of Loctite lasts me 6mths, I had a 20g B&Q generic one that lasted about the same.....
So cost isn\'t what sells it to me, its hold & ease of use.

I have found that Zap works fine, but it does dry out at times and leaks as well.

Some guys from the local young offenders institution bought some cracking make-shift weapons into school a while back. Most had blades glued into them with toothpaste......
The best was the wooden combat knife a kid had made in woodwork. A perfect replica, and he managed to smuggle it out!!

Here\'s a question for ya - does it gum up those \"slip on applicators\" as bad as Zap-A-Gap does? I\'ve been using ZAG for years and I\'m not so sure I\'ll change, but in some applications I definitely want a near-instant bond.
Do you even NEED to use the \"precision applicator\" tips with the Loctite? I have enough ZAG to last me the next 5 years, so I won\'t be tossing it out...but I very well may give the Loctite a try.

It is instant and I no longer hate assembly, truly it is well worth the try, I save time time is money :flip:
Just reading through some of the replies here (the sensible ones that is), it seems that a lot of you apply the glue directly from the tube/bottle to the model, it that right?
I always pour a small amount of glue onto an old bit of plastic and use a toothpick to transfer the glue to the model, more precise and it stops the model getting glued to the bottle

Loctite is fine but \"grip\" is better
I have used many superglues,loctite is ok,but tends to go of in the bottle.The best in my humble opinion is Grip thick,it costs around £2.50($5) and is a joy to use,as for having to hold minis together for 5 mins to wait for Zap a gap to dry,i would heartily recommend using a tecnique known as pinning<sorry to be sarcastic!!!

Welcome to the forums Rorin!
Likely is the same stuff if it looks exactly the same and just the name is changed. Seems that a lot of stuff gets renamed or relabled when it crosses the ocean as they deem it due to market research and such.
