I got a bad name - without knowing!

Just found out that I got a bad name. Thats what I got as results searching in an online urban dictionary:

Jike

Ieeek! There\'s no good meaning for my name!? Omg... :cry:

Just if you wondering how I got my name: It should mean charity in Japanese.
All knowing Japanese will recognize Jike is not right, it should be Jinkei, but when I took the name I was just starting to study Japanese (and read the kanji wrong).
Also it was my graffiti name and already known amongst my friends here. Because of that I didn\'t want to change name afterwards...

So different languages different meanings, huh!? lol

Hope nobody got offended by my name?

Urbandictionary is full of obscure bullshiat that about three guys in one neighbourhood have ever heard of. I wouldn\'t worry about it.

Thx guys! I was considering a change of name.
But you never can be sure that some word doesn\'t mean something bad in other languages, right?

Perhaps RUCKSACK has the same meaning in every language =D

A completely un-interesting side note...

I think there should be very lengthy prison sentences for vandalism (of which graffiti is included). :drunk:

But then I\'m one of the very few who lists themselves on facebook as \'very conservative\'.

Well actually there are legal sides where you can do graffiti here and where I go now whenever I get the need. I never wrote on someone else\'s private property...on other things, well...ähem...we all have or wild student years, right!?

Yeah, be careful with kanji. I know a girl who got a kanji as a tattoo. She was told it meant family/clan. The closest it is translated to (according to Kodansha dictionary) is sect or cult. Hmmmm. The tattoo is also missing a stroke so it actually doesn\'t mean anything.
If you are getting a name, get it from a person you trust.
Mine is Takeo which ends up being a decent translation of Richard.
