I have a new site!

Or possibly just \'a site\' since I haven\'t had anything decent for a very long time :)

It\'s at
http://www.ironhalo.net

So there are galleries (for the most part stuff you\'d\'ve seen on cmon as it\'s the only place I\'ve really been posting pics for the last year), a small tips section that\'ll grow as I get ideas or people suggest things, and an organised commission section. Also a wee newsletter which is going to be going out approximately weekly.

The blurbs for each mini in the galleries are still being done, only the 40k section is complete (because it\'s the biggest so I did it first).

Any feedback would be great! Also, any ideas for things to put in the tips section?

Currently I just have a bunch of skintone recipes (which will get turned into step-by-step handy guides as I get them done) and one mini-tut on doing a stylised frost-axe, because someone asked and I happened to be painting one yesterday :) .

Thanks for any looking anyone does!

cheers, Rachel.

Woohoo!
1. I like the new redesign. Consistent navigation, nice flow, killer minis, extra verbage about what is happening on a mini.
2. I always have a mild feeling of satisfaction when I have mentioned a new site in my news before I see em announce on CMON.
3. IronHalo, isn\'t that some sort of medieval torture instrument?
4. Great transparent clothes!

Nice site Rachel! Nicely laid out, easy navigation. I look forward to more Tutorials and TIps.

On the down side :) yet ANOTHER bookmark in my favorites:D

LOL.
I was going to put a file on my site for work, and the URL didn\'t match so it went to my main page, and everyone was \"No, don\'t put it there, Adams has some picture of a bald guy with tits on his site.\"
Which is the thumbnail I was of the nice transparency I was talking about.

Ahhh. Powerpoint users are morons.

Looks great!

I especially love the banner. Very nice and uncluttered. Are there any other tutorials in the works? ie SENMM?

Powerpoint is tacky and dull. I hate using it! I have to put together a whole presentation using it. It makes me want to give long speeches on the proper usage off socks, and then a second on on the other usage.

Cool site, Rachel!
I saw it a few days ago following a link on Electric Ocean but didn\'t know it was yours - having seen your name on cmon a \"few\" times. :)

Hi, thanks for the response!

Thanks for the feedback! I don\'t think it\'s a torture instrument, it\'s actually a piece of 40k wargear. You may be thinking of an Iron Maiden... But then my knowledge of medieval torture is limited at best :) .
Adams has some picture of a bald guy with tits on his site.\"

Oh dear... I thought she looked quite girly, even without the nipples.

yay! achieving \'favourites\' status, that\'s pretty cool :) . I\'ve been working on the damn thing for so long I\'ve ended up all paranoid that no-one will like it, but I got loads of feedback from one list and revamped the initial draft, and so far it\'s all been positive.

I hadn\'t actually planned on doing that specific one, since nmm tuts of some sort seem to be ten a penny... Might do something though, at least for a variety of colour combos (I have 3-4 recipes for gold nmm that I use fairly frequently)

Ah, crud! The problem with using layers - I added an update late last night and obviously the brain was too sleepy to remember to shunt the webring layer down a notch. Thanks for pointing it out!

and yay, another bookmark!

And cheers Tobi - I suppose I should probably stick my name on the site somewhere then :)

Thanks to all who\'ve commented so far, much appreciated.

cheers
Rachel
