...That perhaps catman and david56 are the same person? This is a wild conspiracy theory but here is my rather inconclusive evidence:

- claims exceptional ability but has yet to display any

- potentially obssesed with winning at GD

- both have similar grasps of english grammar and spelling

- similar requests for information usually available in other places

- registered within one day of one another

Any takers?


EDIT: this is not an attack, just an observation from a very bored and easily distracted mind.

david 56 was more comical in that he didn\'t seem to be aware that he was becoming a local joke, and catman seems to know if he says something funny (Bob Marley>Bill :D).

I was actually wondering that TH, but I\'m not sure they are :p

first point seems a bit harsh tho :(

I\'m going to go out on a limb and say they\'re different, but I\'ll wager half a mini arm that they\'re within two years of each other\'s age. Maybe the other half to say they\'re in the same time zone. But I\'m not as confident in that one.

LOL - I was going to say \"the english language\" then clearly changed my mind mid keystroke

The keyword in the first one though DaN is exceptional. I am in no way decrying the ability of either. We all had to start somewhere. I went to college for art thinking I was the proverbial bomb. Looking back, I sucked. Practice, training and experience have no substitutes.

@Peg - Actually that is one of the counter arguments that I purposely did not throw in (spin tactics!). I believe david56 said he was from California, and catman says Manchester, England.

Maybe we should entice them with a nice assortment of sandwiches from the train station and see which one bites.

If my stereotypes are correct, the one from England will decline.

Can\'t think of anything decidedly British right now except what I\'ve read from Adams.

You might be right. I joined CMON years ago. Onething I noticed is that there is a lot of people who liketo come here and take the piss out of memeber shere. the bad grammar and senseless ramblings have done just that.

They do give off slightly similar vibes, but David56 was on a different level to the catman from what I remember (and I know we should be nice and welcoming to all members Dragonsreach, but I must admit, I won\'t miss re-telling David what forum he should post stuff in, and to ask questions that make sense about a million times!).

I think catman\'s OK. He\'s got a sense of humour, seems to be able to spot sarcasm, he\'s enthusiastic, he\'s just a little bit young. I don\'t mean that to sound like an insult, we were all young once even though it\'s hard to believe it with some members! ;) And I\'m not being ageist, but as you mature mannerisms and attitude change. If catman\'s guilty of anything he\'s just a bit green. He aint so schooled in the ways of things round here!

Making a thread like this, well although I don\'t think it\'s been done maliciously, it could be interpreted that way, and it opens things up for more unpleasantness, and that, well that aint exactly the way of things around here either as far as I know!

But I did finally get round to him, as he started PM\'ing me for help, and showing me pics of his stuff etc...
Stuff which he hadn\'t posted on the forums.

Leave them alone. I remember when I was bit younger and acted like an idiot for a while*edit* ages, everybody kept taking the piss and it sucked :( I\'m still pretty young now obviously, and I know it\'s tempting to bite somebody\'s head off for saying stupid stuff, but it takes a while to grow in here especially if you\'re young.

sorry but i read the thread heading and had to quote some buffy musical.....which btw is supposedly being made for broadway.
