In my own defense here, I started this as a lark, not to bring anyone down. TBH, I like catman\'s enthusiasm and his seeming genuine reception of constructive criticism. If I were to honestly compare david56 and catman based solely on their activity here on the forums and what else have I got to go on) I would not actually think they were the same person. As others have stated, catman seems to have a genuine desire and drive to improve, while david seemed to me to have the desire but not the drive.
@hubba - I expected catman to read it and given his obvious sense of humor, take it in the light it was intended, as he seems to have done.
@Bill - hoping you\'re not directing the comments about biting someone\'s head off at me, as I don\'t think I did (though others appear to have taken this thread more seriously than it was intended).

And as far as being at GD level, I think most of us aren\'t. But getting there is half the fun, right?

The funny part is that everyone agreed that the Catman was annoying in his post. Mostly because he did bother to edit his post and no one could understand what he was saying…And the shady miniature deal he tried.

Now suddenly people are kissing his butt and being overly nice to him for no reason except guilt for the ‘mean’ things said earlier. He has gone from annoyance to CMON mascot in a matter of days. But no one knows who he is.

For all we know he could be this David 56 guy. Or he could be some guy having a good time at our expense. Just my toonie’s worth.

Fourteen year-olds with thick skin are hard to find.. it took me a year to settle in with the CMON crowd, and though I\'m glad I did.. I admit that some of us are are too critical of some users. It\'s okay if it is obvious that threads like this are in good fun, but there is a line that some of us have crossed.

I wouldn\'t call him a mascot by any stretch, and I agree that he should slow down and re-read what he posts (I probably should sometimes too). I just pointed out that I was recently slammed for posting too many pointless things and the negative attention was not fun given that anyone can ignore anything they want to. Ignore him and if he really does get out of hand the mods will handle it.

You are right, he could be David whatsits but then he might just be a kid who\'s happy to be here too.

We were all once brite eyed 14 year olds with grand ideas and big plans..it what you do when your a kid..it seems that as we become adults some part of that kid dies inside of us.

My advise is if you don\'t like what he or anyone has to say.. don\'t read threads they start, but you risk missing something that might actually be good.

Not at all, I wasn\'t directing it at anybody in particular, and wasn\'t implying that anyone had bitten anyone\'s head off, just that it\'s tempting and you should think about the young dudes before you post. I wasn\'t taking you post seriously either, just voicing my opinions in general.

Now Ebon, I can\'t tell if you\'re doing that on purpose, but I know I make a lot of dumb typos and spelling mistakes, but Catman, yes, you do take the \'sword\' in unintelligibul freds. My advice wud b to right yor posts in WORD or something similar, and cut and paste, also save you having to rewrite long threads if you have a problem with the internet, (or haven\'t signed into CMON yet Duh, how many times have I done that....) Basically, it’s a waste of time writing if nobody can understand what you’re trying to say.

@Thunderhawker, I don\'t think you were being nasty, but Dan’s comment has to be the crowning glory here, defines this thread, and its so truelol

What I do object to is Catman, or anyone else being discussed in the third person like they are not present. That\'s kind of rude, put yourself in the same situation.
