I know I shouldn\'t, but why not hey - it\'s Friday!!

I\'ve gotta say that (and I\'m speaking to everyone who wants to read this message of mine on this thread Catman so sorry for not addressing you directly mate) as a pretty much daily follower of this site and the forum threads that to me the Catman is a fresh breath of air to this often broken record like chat area. Please don\'t take me the wrong way - but feel free to if ya wanna.. I love your signature mate! You say - the Catman then under that you got It\'s the Catman!!! To me this is c00l and funny!! And (if I\'m wrong so be it) maybe I\'m too trusting but I never questioned for a minuscule of a second that you might not be who you present yourself as being. So I think this thread is a little r00d!! To the d00d! But this is cyberspace so get over it I guess! Rant rant rant!! Hear me out - I for one want more threads from The Catman and less Ohhh I\'ll never paint as well as this guy and my failure in GD type threads. Not to mention the ol\' GW paints, bash, style threads. I can\'t believe that I still find myself reading these threads! Is my life really THAT boring?

And Ebbonbuddha -> (don\'t take me the wrong way BUT > I\'ll admit that I have NEVER appreciated your posts and found the Black & White fight thread VERY sickening and distasteful and feel that all those news link threads that you bombarded this MINIATURE painting community with - you know - the Richard Prior blah blah blah threads boring and down right annoying. Hey man - I\'m just laying my cards on the table like you just have with some teenage enthusiastic painter whose interesting videos you have laid down as TERRIBLE! Way to encourage a guy!!

Further - if you really must know (and this will probably get the Mods {sorry} shutting me down?? I don\'t post much here at all because of guys like you. You\'ve put me off the posting in the forums. This is the truth if you must know. Hey. If you\'re going to throw your observations down on da Catman and make out that based on your OBSERVATIONS he\'s an annoying over-enthusiastic, terrible film making phony! Then mate - it\'s time I let you know what I think. And you know what? It don\'t mean a thing to me because I\'ll continue coming here to learn about miniature painting and go over to the AGE Melbourne, BBC news, Courier Mail Brisbane for my news reports when I want to read the news and go over to youtube when I want to watch the things I choose to research etc, etc.. Nurture the young guys !!! Don\'t try and chop \'em down just because you never made it!! Maybe a little harsh - but this is how I feel. The fight wasn’t a black and white thing. It was a fight between two guys. One of them called the other guy a faggot. Which is equal to calling a black person nigger. Amongst a highly sensitive, over reactive forum, there was a discussion. If these tight assed people could have a conversation that showed different views, I was sure CMON could do the same. One thing I loved about CMON was that people could talk about more than miniatures. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case.

The Richard Pryor thread and such: HE WAS AN AMERICAN ICON! A lot of us grew up with him. A lot of the other things were from our past too. Didn’t you notice all of the Americans were having good memories about these people that we lost? It broke the monotony of the regular discussion. And…(this is most important) IT WAS N THE GENERAL DISCUSSION SECTION. That doesn’t mean we talk about miniatures of famous generals. It means it’s the place we can talk about everything.;)

I don’t like bragging about myself. But…

You avoided my post and missed some really cool things like;

The free sample site: I can’t remember the company. There was a new company giving out free samples of their product. A lot of people go in on it. By the way: It was for miniatures stuff.;)

Several (and I mean several) Sales: If I saw a sale on line for gaming stuff, I posted it for you guys. Again about miniatures. ;)

Heads up: If I came across a really good submission, I would post the link in the general discussion section. Before people were pimping minis, I was doing it. But I stopped because I was afraid I was setting them set up for snipers.

Several Galleries: I have given advice to several people. And I comment not on pictures. But entire galleries. I get a lot of PMs asking me to look at galleries because I don’t sugar coat my comments. That’s how I roll baby.lol

Now with that out of the way… I will tell you a little something. Its people like you who made me not consider myself a CMONer. You know people who walk around with a large log snugly rammed up their butts and look for things to get offended about. You single me out, yet there are others who do the same. I think your problem goes a little deeper than my post.

By the way: your complaint is sooooo old. I haven’t done a lot of that stuff in a long time. I mean like last year long time. Yeah. I was away from CMON for months.

Im not rying to be harsh now but I have got to agree.
not in a harsh way but its actually quite hard to post what you think.
I had a post a few days ago about osl and it was being put down in one of the first posts. Im using this as an EXAMPLE. but its starting to be harder to speak your mind unless you agree with the whole style of painting here.
I dont.
I do it all \"wrong\"
I do osl with mm
I try out things I shouldnt
I dont paint neatly
I dont even paint base probabbly.
it seems that im doing something \"wrong\".
but painting just seems boring otherwise.
everyone trys to paint like bobby wong and victoria lamb. these are amazing painters but they are not how I paint.
what I was trying to say in the other long post is that I paint how I paint. im doing something new, may be disater but thats how I paint.
so can you accept that???
it doesnt matter if you dont but if you do then maybe you can accept that I paint \"wrong\".
and lorence I dont think you will be taken of these forums. your speaking your mind, thats all.

Well, Catman, that is what people do here. When I first arrived, I posted three pics. I asked for help and got the sterile ‘don’t want to offend’ comments. Then I went and found a guy named Chrispy. I deliberately asked him because he was honest. He set me right and I wasn’t whining or feeling sorry for myself. Take the advice and use it.

When Battle Wagon Bitz went out of business they had a sell. I told people because I figured they could save some cash on their conversions.

A few weeks ago GW posted that they were going to discontinue a lot of molds. They had a document of the molds available, but it was in excel and a lot of people couldn’t get it. So, I went and took everything off of the excel spread sheet and posted it for people.

if your saying your that YOUR honest then Im sorry but I disagree. youv put me down and then denied it. youv said how im a fraud and how I might be messing you around.

Iv put on three pics and had sooo many people tell me I paint \"wrong\". but I havent gone to someone like bill or some other \"good\" painter and asked for help.
Iv decided that I am going to paint like that. I like it. you dont. its not changing.

I dont see why you said my films were terrible. you didnt say how I could improve, you said they were crap and someone else is better than me. I DONT CARE. but you do.

I know crispy is a good painter but im not going to ANYONE. im doing what I do best.

Here is something. Make sense when you post, or make a movie. You had to explain it to people after they saw it. And most importantly, I wasn’t the only one. I just noticed that people were suddenly telling you everything you did was good and funny AFTER they ripped you a new one. I pointed it out. End of story. Read your post. Don’t you see how it is difficult to understand?

Thereare no winners or losers in this situation.

I’m still waiting to see what happens.
