Looks like the thread has died down. This is probably for the best.
I was about to go to bed but I can\'t resist a UFC topic. So I\'ll hijack the thread briefly then call it a night.
Kimbo has a lot of potential and he could have gone far if he had started the sport 5 to 10 years ago. He\'s about 33 or 34 now. he\'s running low on time. It\'s not impossible as there are much older fighters that are very successful (Chuck Liddel and Randy Couture) but they\'ve been at the game for a good chunk of their lives. I predict one or two hot paydays for Kimbo as he is very popular and fight promoters will take advantage of his underground popularity but a title win or even a shot just isn\'t going to happen.
Pros: Big, strong, tight stand up game,
Cons: Aging, limited ground experience. (I predict his ass will get choked out before long) No kick boxing skills. (If he can\'t now he won\'t later)
I think Chuck is running out of time too. I always though he was a touch over rated as well. The guy is too one dimensional. All standup and he avoids the ground like it\'s covered in fresh dog crap. He\'s down 2 fights in a row, not good at this point...
Rampage Jackson, now that is a Warrior. All the right tools. Conditioning, heart, drive, it\'s all good. The 205 division is on fire right now. He has to work incredibly hard to remain King. Some hot fighters coming up, Jardine, Evans, Houston, Griffin and even Tito Ortiz. Great time to be a fan.
Watching the next PPV? Too bad you aren\'t local. I\'d have you over.
