Well, they were on a fat bastard of a ghoul king ... but they were nipples.

I just painted NIPPLES!

I will reply to this for 3 reasons:
1) I have you beat on quantity - I am doing the skintones on 2 barbarians today, so I have done 4 nipples today. You may have painted more nipple surface area though.
2) Why pass up an oppurtunity to say nipples? Congratulations on painting nipples! I think I need to go touch up the nipples I painted.
3)Pathetically, this is the closest I will get to a real nipple aside from showering.

Obviously, any replies to this topic resulted from one or both of the following two reasons:
1. Hoping to see sample pictures.
2. Spurious increase of post-count.
Now, I\'ll leave it up to you to decide which you fall into. As for myself...

I mean, even a bare-chested barbarian dude has a color differentiation on the nipple. I hate it when I see otherwise outstandingly painted minis with absolutely no adherence to this simple, anatomical fact.
As a related pet peeve, coloration of said features. Too many people just paint them pink, and think that\'s it. Grrr....
So, anyone have good color recipes to share regarding painting nipples?
(Waiting for Finn to first point out every other nipple thread we\'ve had... lol )

That always bugs me when I see a figure with no nipples too, especially the barbarians. I personally just go a shade or 2 darker than my shade tone, but I am not really sure I am even being correct with that, but at least they have nipples
Dauber22: No clubs in Blooomington, I am pretty sure there is an ordinance prohibiting them (the one Doughnut mentioned is in a smaller town nearby). Then again, this is also a \"twin cities\" (Normal being the other half) and Normal was a dry town (despite being a college town!) at one point, and still doesn\'t allow bars per se - food has to be served as well. Since I don\'t drink it doesn\'t bother me, and the lack of gentlemen\'s clubs didn\'t bother me until this thread made me realize the sad nipple deficiency in my life. So...
Doughnut, get out the fake ID it\'s off to Kapa we go! lol

Heh - I had a good laugh reading these, and woke the wife up in the process of snickering.
As for color, well I ended up using a bit of Graveyard Earth, Red Gore and a smattering of Skull White for this round of nipples and it came out pretty good ... kind of a brown-pinkish.
Of course, there are several differnt nipple colors out there so I\'m sure you can go anywhere from the bright pink to the damn near black-brown on your miniature.
Now ... wondering how I should highlight this minis nipples ...

I tend to just add a bit of brown and maybe red to the flesh colour.
Actually painting nipples is something I will be getting a bit more practice on soon*, I have the 3 scantily clad Hasselfree minis sat on my desk.
