I don\'t have a local pub that I go to regularly any more

In Tempe it was Pranksters or Native New Yorker. Good places to kick back at happy hour, get some wings and hang out with my best friend Stella so we could gripe about work. She and I worked in the same office on the same team together.

I like mine because they brew their own beer there. I really only go to brewpubs now anyway, you get very spoiled.

microbreweries are the best! Four Peaks was great in Tempe. I lived a few blocks away from it and was able to walk if I really needed to.

I like my local because the food is nice
( Ribs, mixed grill,pasta\'s),nice blues/jazz/rock,and all my mates go there

NSA, you are absolutely right about Hooters, the food is way overpriced and tastes like crap. The girls? Meh.

When we lived in Kansas there was a Buffalo Wild Wings that was great, mostly because they had the most amazing wings and onion rings. Now that we\'re in Oregon, I like our local brewpub where they make their own beer, and it\'s fabulous! And, they make a mean artichoke chicken fettuccine dijon.

Buffalo Wild Wings was that good Spazzy? There\'s one in Irving near my office and another in Lewisville on my way home and everyone has always said how mediocre they are. I haven\'t given them a try yet because of that.

Mmm a pint of Cider and some wings. Yum!

Maybe the ones where you are aren\'t that great, but the one where we lived was pretty good. They are a franchise though, with each one being owned by an independent. But, maybe it was because that\'s where my coworkers and I would go to blow off steam after work a few times a month, and we really enjoyed each other\'s company. That makes a difference, too.

I wanna go all these American bars, seems like they are a lot better than our Country pubs where I live. All I get is some old bloke or some past her best barmaid who\'s first lines are always \"Can I help ya love\".

They do have their advantages, like the middle of the summer on a hot summers days and they act as a get away from the crowded towns / cities where a man can take his mates and the misses and play a few rounds of football whilst cooling off to a pint of what they have on tap.
But I wouldn\'t go to a pub in the middle of no where in the evening to spend time with friends and to socialise, thats when the bars in cities / towns come in to play.

I don\'t mind going out now and then, but the problem with most bars around here is that you can\'t even walk in without ending up smelling like you slept in an ashtray. If I want to sit around and drink with my friends, I\'m best off just buying a few different types of beer and inviting them over to sit on the deck with me. Besides, then we don\'t have to worry about that creepy guy that shows up and ruins every good night out.

I\'m not a smoker, so I was so happy when the English government imposed the law that stops people smoking in public buildings. No long do my shirts smell of smoke and beer, now its only beer :drunk:

I used to smoke, and it was damned hard to go out when I was trying to quit. Now that I\'m a non smoker, I don\'t want to go anywhere that somebody is smoking, because I know I\'m likely to give in and start up again.

Sorry to be the dissenting voice here, but I think Hooters does a great job on their buffalo wings, as long as you are talking about their hottest sauce. I am not referring to the \"3 Mile Island\" ones on the menu - you have to specifically request \"Bentley style\", and if you aren\'t in Texas, they probably won\'t know what you are talking about. Not for the faint of heart - the sauce is about 50% jalapeno chunks, so you have to like the heat.

Buffalo Wild Wings is good, but I find that the wings are often overcooked and a bit tough, and for probably the same reason smaller than the Hooters wings. They win on sauce variety - their Spicy Garlic sauce is great.

In my opinion, neither are great places to \"hang out\" - usually too loud for good conversation, and the Hooters waitress outfits are just silly, but if you have a craving for buffalo wings, they are worth the trip.

well, I know it\'s my own fault for bringing it up, but I am now having a massive craving for BWW\'s Caribbean jerk chicken sandwich with a side of onion rings!!

I\'ve found a new local thats on me way home from work 8 real ales on tap and a great assortment of bottled ales.

They also have 3 types of pork scratchins!!! When your from the Black Country the capital of pork scratchins thats just a slice of heaven!!!

I\'ve been in on me way home from work the past three nights, last night being the third and the guy rememberd what my tipple was. Now thats good service!!!
