I like to know if CMON members collect also historical miniatures ( some of mine soldiers)

I am finishing my site ( somebody do it for me i do not know how do site) and I produced some of my figures they are packed and wait for start of my site.
But I have one new idea - I am big fan of historical miniatures and I have few sculpted figures for my big tank collection. I think I may cast them and put to my store but I do not see any figures 1:35 scale at cmon. I like to know If people who buy fantasy figures also collect historical ?
I am not shure itf it is good idea to place it at the same site, but I probably do not find time to start annother site ( this takes me 3 month more than I thought)

Take a look in the top artists galleries and you will see that there is a massive amount of larger scale historical figures being done.
In fact I bet if you search the web then you will find that people interested in historical stuff far out weighs fantasy.

Very nice sculpts too....but thats no suprise.

I do 25/28s Historicals as well as 15\'s.

Check out http://theminiaturespage.com/

Your stuff in particular would go over very well there as there\'s a ton of ww2 gamers.

I am also a moderator on a historical forum, and I KNOW that your figures would have a market if you cast them, especially the Poles, from both painters of figures and AFV modellers.

It would be great if you joined the forum and shared your work

By the way. When do you sleep?

Rob......don\'t you mean \"Do you sleep ?\":D

I think some people are hoodwinked a bit concerning coolmini. Me included. We think nothing exsists outside of here when in reality we are a small drop in a very big pond.
Just look at how many hits TMP gets per day.

Actually Im always supprised when I run into people in the hobby who have computors and are online that dont know that any of this exists online. I can tell you how many times Ive wrote the address for CMON down on the back of a business card or scrap of paper for people. There are so many fourms out their dealing with miniatures its not funny.

I also like Planet Figure as a historical fourm. In fact heres a cool article by url=http://www.planetfigure.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4026&st=0]Bill Horan[/url] showing how he sculpts a miniature you might find useful. I think Einion posted this befor somewhere.

Scibor I would love to see your historical work on here and look forward to your website when its done.[

Hi,

I second the planet figure forum. I\'d also recommend tank dedicated forums like (I think armorama). Just make sure you don\'t come over as just being there to promote your figures since both of these are \"builder and hobbyist\" forums. Not commercial ones.
You can also look around to see what\'s already available and what quality level is required.

Nice to see you working on Polish figures.

Bye, Ming-Hua

1/35 scale Historical ww2 models are what got me into this goofy little hobby all those years ago.

I have recently started to regain some of the interest I had in it.

Planetfigure has many commercial sculptors showing work on the site, and as Scibor hasn\'t yet produced these, there would be no problem in posting these there. In fact, I\'d highly recommend it!

Thanks for answers :)
Orb I will visit this historical forum :)
I know that there are some sites for historical modelers . Iam member of WW II modelmakers and tracklink but I like to know If people from cmon like also 1:35 historical figures. I am going place it in one shop and site and I am not shure if it is good idea. When I show my warhamer miniatures at historical forum some people trate it as toys. I like to know if this 2 kinds of miniatures may be placed at one site?

Scibor. Both Timelines and Planetfigure are open to warhammer/40K stuff (and other manufacturers) as well, in fact it\'s something encouraged (I\'m the \"mini\" moderator at Timelines) and there is a definate trend to historicals and fantasy crossing over more (Andrea and Durendel for example). A prolific commercial historical sculptor, Alan Ball, recently showed a 120mm Space Marine he sculpted for private commission on Timelines, so the crossover goes both ways.

Personally I think the two types should be placed on the same site and shop.

Those historical modellers who rate minis as toys soon change their mind when they see whats possible. The fantasy painters on this site and others are pushing the boundaries in figure painting where as many historical modellers are stuck in the way way paint.

I\'m sure you know of it already, but there\'s also www.missing-lynx.com
