I love whimsical minis

Here\'s something I don\'t see enough of:
A mini that doesn\'t try to be all realistic and accurate but instead is all about mood and is just as artistic as anything else out there:

Bodrius did a really nice job on this one, I gave it an 8 but thought about a 9 mostly for the cupboard and setting.

I\'m thinkng the wizard is an old TSR AD&D line mini?

Yes very old mini in an excellent setup -gave it 8 as well - took me down memorylane as I used this mini as my mage so many years ago playing D&D.

Well, that\'s certainly whimsical in a different direction. Heavy on the \"realism\" for what I was suggesting, but a damn fine piece.

Elvis? You gotta be kidding, that\'s rather more Saturday Night Fever in style. Speaking of SNF, where has CMoN\'s Tony Manero got to recently? I\'m sure he\'d really like this one.

The wizard and his bookcase - they don\'t really appeal to me to be honest. The style of painting isn\'t my thing, and although the scene is pretty cool, it\'s not quite busy enough for my liking.

its not really my style either tbh. but i do love that look on his face that just say \'where did i put that frikkin scroll?!\'

that yarri is awesome. never liked the mini (nor sure why) but the folded arms/pose and that MASSIVE collar is just soooo cool. and it\'s well painted

I agree that \"ultrarealism\" should not be the goal of every mini. That wizard looks like he is right out of the pages of a storybook, and the style is nice.

I have never seen a halfling that looked so much like he had a raging case of herpes and a craving to spread it. Great mini but I\'m sooooo glad I was a child in the 70\'s

I agree with Iono here in that the wizard scene is a little... bland. Nice idea, but more crap lying around and more little bits&pieces would do it better.

And that halfling is toooo cool. love the painted disco-ball reflections. Great piece overall.
