I dunno about mean people....
IMO a lot of the \'issues\' on this site arise because folk are far too thin-skinned.
This is a public arena where \'art\' is discussed. This always causes controversy because \'art\' is personal, but there is a huge difference between denigrating a manufacturer/style of painting/expressing a personal preference or dislike and direct personal insults.

Just kidding. I agree. It happens almost anytime you have \"art\" and discussion. You see it a lot in the theatre as well. It\'s just far too easy to take comments personally. I know I\'ve been guilty of that.
We also do have our share of crotchedy folks. I know I can be guilty of that sometimes too.
EDIT - @ naughtybear - And send a hearty hello to your pug as well! I think pugs are so ugly they\'re cute. Heh. A friend of mine has one.

@ANB - not to worry too much. Life ain\'t really full of people with wonderful dispositions, is it. And it\'s a lot more fun to pick on people who are a little surly, because they are willing to pick back instead of just cowering in the corner.
