Post a pic. I\'m not framiliar with it. It\'s always fun to score something for nothing. This one isnt quite as fun but I was at a garage sale this weekend and got 8 AA rechargable batteries (50$ or so) for 25 cents!

$8.50 translates to $7.02 american,
or, for the british types, about 3 quid 26 p.
I\'m not sure what the Euro exchange rate is.
But if we translate it to Turkish Lira, we\'re looking at about 42 billion....

The wife and I decided to stop at some garage sales this Saturday after seeing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...

...Found a (supposed) complete Hero Quest boxed game for $3.00! Just as I was about to pay, the mom bumped down the price to $1.00!

Woohoo! I was thinking of immediately turning around and putting it on eBay.
I\'ve never bought something with the idea of turning around and re-selling it.

Then I opened the box, and there\'s all this cool stuff...shouldn\'ta done that!lol

I\'ve been sooo tempted to pick up a Hero Quest set for a while now. I remember the game as if it were yesterday, with the slow unravelling of the board as you move around it, fights with big monsters, a magic axe...i\'m getting a stiffy lol

I\'ve never played it, myself. I picked up a copy at Goodwill about 4 years ago, only because it had a couple of cool prop pieces in it for gaming. Nowhere near a complete box, it was obvious.

But I saw this one and thought: \"re-sell!\"
However, it\'s got a lot more stuff in it than my previous one had, and I\'m having a hard time with the idea of getting rid of it...

if it is good enough to give Rev a stiffy, I\'d say its good enough to keep.

I\'ve never played it. I remember when it was in the stores, though. I was going to buy it, but bought Battlemasters instead....oh I wish I could do \'do-overs\'!

If you\'ve ever played Space Hulk or Siege of the Citadel, the concept is pretty similar. I believe HQ was the first of the sort but I could be wrong.
Basically, you have one player running the show as the badguy/GM. You have 1 player playing 4 characters or 4 players each playing 1 character or some combo. Each of the characters has very basic stats and the board changes slightly from scenario to scenario as you go down levels of the dungeon. It\'s played with miniatures, all of which are fairly ugly but charming - I miss that gargoyle. If I had it I\'d resell, because I have too many games (and in fact I did resell a copy of HQ already) and most are better, but it is still charming, and the way spells work is very simple and rather fun. If you need a beer and pretzels game and want to see your valiant heroes get the tar beat out of them, keep it.

There are worlds of expansions that I have never seen, but if any are included, you hit a gold-mine. The expansions bring the real money on eBay.
