Popeye, the sailor man, was Sweetpea\'s father. You know Bluto wasnt going to beat him to it, cummon! He eats his spinach, toot toot. Plus, as has been mentioned, Olive wasn\'t much of a looker to begin with. Who remembers Robin Williams playing Popeye?

Someone mentioned the Sailor moon girls earlier, and I mis-read the last one as Sailor Bluto. :D

Actually when I was living in Dallas and working the cons up there we used to put out fundraising jars - See Pretty Sailor Ogre or Dont See Pretty Sailor Ogre - worked every time

Oh, and if memory serves. Sweetpea was an orphain that was left on popeye\'s front step, so really no blood relationship.

Thanks all. The weather at boot camp SUCKED! Negative 29 with wind chill running around with a gaurd belt and standing night watches. Not fun stuff. But i\'m at A School now so it\'s all getting better.

Anyone mention John Paul Jones???

Yeah, we all scratched out Great Lakes on our stationary and put in Great Mistakes, but in all seriousness it wasn\'t that bad there. The last month of it was actually pretty fun. Hey did you ever get the letter i wrote you? Not sure if i needed more postage for it to get overseas but it never bounced back to me. Just wondering.

anyone mention Edmund Fitzgerald....ok..its a ship, not a sailor, but egads I think we about running out of them.

My dad was a sailor btw...and later a seabee.

Who was that guy who ate the spinach and got strong?
