I think it\'s been about 4 months since I last visited this forum, but I\'m back now
I checked the top posters and noticed that I am still ranked 11th, not bad after a 4 month break I think
First mission: reach 1000 posts
Some of you might have seen some of the newer minis appear on my site or CMON, but here are some highlights for all of you who haven\'t seen any of my (recent) work yet. Here we go (By the way: it\'s all Rackam
)
First of all I\'ve continued working on my Drune army. After painting up 3 regular Drune Persecutors, I decided to paint up the special VPC edition on a bit higher quality level:
http://www.coolminiornot.com/50758. The base is made out of cork bits and the snow is made out of grinded salt. The blending on the skin is very smooth, but the picture didn\'t turn out so well
(I\'ll buy new lights (white) pretty soon).
A better picture, but a bit lower quality paintjob: Corwyn: http://www.coolminiornot.com/51838. I tried to experiment with lighter highlightings on the cloak, but they turned out to be a bit too hard in some places. The sword and the goblet turned out pretty well. Anyways, this is a real eye-catcher on the tabletop and I\'m quite pleased with the picture quality.
If you want to see more Drunes, then please visit my homepage, but these are qaming quality pieces, so I didn\'t post them on CMON because I don\'t expect them to get high scores.
The next minis I want to show you are the Confrontation Dwarves I\'m painting for my friend\'s army. They are gaming quality pieces, but I think the army looks great on the tabletop. Here are some those minis:
- Armurier Nain: http://www.coolminiornot.com/49116
- Lothan: http://www.coolminiornot.com/55490
- Thermo-Guerrier: http://www.coolminiornot.com/55491
Last month I was contacted by a person who wanted me to paint everything Hybrid. So I started out witht the basic set first. So far I\'ve finished the Loge De Hod, more minis will be coming soon. Here \'s a pic of those guys: http://www.coolminiornot.com/55285. Again, these are gaming quality pieces, but I\'m quite happy about the color scheme and the bases.
Since I am doing loads of commission work lately, I only had time to do one showcase model lately (but I\'m working on some more): a Goule D\'Acheron: http://www.coolminiornot.com/53252
I still am surprised about the score of the Ghoul, because this is one of my best minis. IMO the blending is smooth, the base is cool, and the NMM on the swords is very tidy. But I think it\'s because of the simplicity of this mini (only two main colors) that its rating is so low.
Anyway, please feel free to comment on my minis and rate them, and I hope to be back here very soon with more stuff
Cheers,
-Gerrie.
