I\'m looking for a specific mini...

Hello...I\'m looking for a miniature to match an idea I had for a D&D character, and I figured I\'d ask here before I go surfing around the net. The miniature must:
*Be smaller than human (not that important, but the concept is a gnome...I could change that).
*Be carrying a crystal ball
*Be wearing robes, and ideally kind of hunched over his crystal ball
*A scared or slightly insane look on his face would be good.
*oh yeah, and male.

I don\'t want anyone to feel that they have to go looking around on websites to find this, because that\'s what I\'m going to do as soon as I post this, but If anyone knows of such a mini, or a similar one, let me know :)

Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff;

Nothing comes to mind at the moment. Good luck, finding just the right character piece is always a challenge. Always nice when you find just the right one.

I\'d recommend a conversion so you can get exactly what you want. but that depends on how good you are at that kind of thing.

The closest thing that comes to mind is Reaper\'s Sprig Sorethumb a halfling wizard. No crystal ball and no beard, but he\'s short and looks like a wizard.

Balto Burrowell could be an easy conversion though. You\'ll need to make a new hand and add a sphere, possibly robes if you\'re really commited to that. I recommend spherical plastic beads for the crystal ball. They\'re available at most craft stores. Just fill in the threading hole and glue in place. The plastic ones take paint well too.

Games Workshop used to make a dwarf wizard that would fit your description, but as you can guess from the words dwarf and wizard being next to eachother he has been OOP for a long time so may be tricky to find.

Heresy!!!

I speak from bitter experience! If your character is a platemail armoured human fighter or a busty elf maiden then you have no problems finding figures and artwork, but gnomes are a little thinner on the ground. Heresy be damned!
