So I\'m looking at the temperature widget in firefox, and tomorrow\'s icon shows an exploding thermometer, which I take to be somewhat of a bad sign.

We ARE still in May, right?

DRY? What is this dry thing you talk of?

Oh, and the oven is a dry heat too.

But off-shore the water is 74 and the air is 72. Seas 6-11 feet with an 11 second period.

Yeah, that\'s what they said about the temperature at Hoover Dam *whimpering puddle*

As a mate from Arizona told me in advance, yeah, dry heat... like from an open oven door.

i\'d rather be in dry heat than humid stickiness.

the only experiences of each weren\'t too extreme. valley of the kings was about 20\'C more than sri lanka but it was much easier to bear imo

Meh.

You haven\'t really lived till its 140 F with 5% humidity. Thats when you find out what you\'re made of and how important air conditioning is. lol

actually steelcult, ya haven\'t lived until you\'ve gone from -40 alaska to +120 california desert in a two week period...if ya make the transition without your head explodin\' from the body\'s confusion, then you\'re a hard man...
how about livin\' in the days just before a tropical monsoon season...95 degrees with 95% humidity...when it\'s africa hot in your shorts, and your legs are conspirin\' to grind your balls off...a man learns that talcum powder is his friend...it\'s hard to feel macho when you\'re powderin\' your crotchlol...

cheers

5:15 pm here in Northern California - 94 degrees and yes, it\'s that dry kinda heat. Tried humid and dry - both suck but the humidity made me feel like I was suffocating. Dry heat any day.

Counter claim: you haven\'t really lived till it\'s 36°C / 100°F at 100% humidity

(Yes, really, 100%)

Jesus, looking up the temp in Fahrenheit I just realised it was nearly 50°C when I was at the dam. Damn.

I live in Houston, the hot sweaty armpit of the USA. I\'ve never seen dry heat OR snow.

Just dripping, nasty, sticky, sweaty hot.

Been there too - and 110 and 96% humidity as well. Good old normal Austin summer that is.

I just looked again. There is going to be another exploding thermometer on Friday as well. I just checked, and apparently that means record-setting temperatures.

Good times.

(I mean, not good times like you folks in the service or Texas, but, you know, good times...)

Last summer, we had 4 days of 44 degrees C and 2% humidity. Apparently it had not happened for 100 years or something like that.
After living in Australia and having next 44 degrees little humidity and living in Japan with 36 degrees 100% humidity, i have to say the dry heat is much more bearable.
Still don\'t have any motivation to do anything, but at least things don\'t go moldy.
