I need a deer miniature.

Ok. I have a conversion I want to do. It\'s of a dryad from World of Warcraft (I\'ve tried to find a screenshot, but I can\'t). They\'re a bit like centaurs, except their lower halves are deer (for the ladies) or stags (for the men).

The upper half is easy, but does anyone know of a decent 28mm scale deer or stag miniature? I can\'t think of any, but I\'m sure some of you miniature junkies will know of one.

I was thinking of doing the WoW dryad as well. I\'m thinking the Light Centyrs from Maidenhead Miniatures might do the trick-they have deer bodies

GW used to put out a Wood Elf lord (Kournos or something) that looked remarkably like them. However after much searching on their site I cant find it.

I have that guy (imagine that, me having a barbarian miniature) and the elk is fricking huge, might be too big for that conversion.

The maidenhead minis do have centyr models with chick upper halves. But the lower halves are supposed to be goats, if you\'re picky that matters. However, they look really good and are a hoot to paint. Maybe no one will notice.

Doh! I thought they were Deer bodies-but now that I look at mine you\'re right. There goes THAT color scheme lol They\'re very small so that might work tho-and if you took off the fur off around their hooves I\'m not sure people would notice they were goats.

If you are looking for 25mm, Ral Partha used to make one. Just bought one in an game store clearance sale, but the name is unreadable. You can try Iron Winds website...they now produce much of the old Ral Partha line.

Yup, I have him too. I also have Orion (kurnous) who is a very large figure. Maybe I can make my own little conversion....mwhaa haa hee tee hee (i can never to that evil laugh!)

I have the old RP deer and you\'re welcome to it, but it\'s small I think. It\'s from back when 25mm was the norm.
