I need some feed-back and color guidance

Hey all... Having trouble photographing this guy nicely... but you get the picture.

Basically, I am doing metalics with silver and gold, and then I am glazing them down and the gold is turning to oxidized copperyishness.

My main question here; how are the colors? The shield just has its base coat, and I was thinking all his shoulder armor gems, and the 2 prongs on the side of his mask get green\\neonish gems, and his turqoiuse eye will be glowing with OSL on his mask.

The shield is going to be worn down, and have painted gashes on it and have silver showing through the edges.

The idea here is, the purple shield will compliment the glowing turqoise eye.

But my purple seems a bit too primary. So, on that note, any advice on the OSL eye, purple shield, loin cloth, or skin is appreciated. I would like his metal components to stay that color unless you have a great idea. I\'m open to great ideas.

You know, I am not a big fan of the purple either... I wanted to get away from red, and compliment the turqoise and green I had wanted to use... but the purple is much too strong and primary... I wish I had added red to it and made some sort of mauve.

For gold, I glaze down with brown and blue ink (mixed). Usually, blue ink mixed with anything will make it look weathered (blue+ black, blue + brown, etc...).

I also did some glazes with catachen green, and some turqoise mixed in with it for oxidation. He looks pretty messy, but I am afraid if I try to clean him up he will not look like a macho man!
