Hey Becca, you could also throw in some stuff about where it all fits into the world today.
Some stats on how many companies are in the wargaming business, prices people pay for painting, examples from CMON and ebay too, showing the prices really good work fetches at auction etc etc
May save you having to dig up so much \'old\' info.
And be sure to mention the community aspect, like how you can even get help with presentations etc

Becca, sounds like you\'re pretty well stocked at this point, but if not I have a book I bought in the mid-80\'s called Dicing with Dragons written by Ian Livingstone (a name from the past in and of himself). It has a good history chapter, along with various other info.

well he basically told us that we had to do a speech on our favorite hobby in informative style...but like i said, hes cool, a Warhammer and Magic Geek.
and for the first day of school he played us led zepplins communication breakdown...the guys not a normal prof

my calss is speech communication101...he wanted to show that even huge singers needed to communicate, if they didnt zep wouldnt have written that song...

I\'ve got a handful of some of the original Grenadier minis from the 70\'s painted with enamels that I can send down to you to use if that would be helpful. You\'re only a state away, so they should get there pretty quickly. Let me know if you want them and I\'ll pop them in the post tomorrow or Wednesday.

i think an article is necessary, you guys have helped me out so much, its only right to make on...
sent a letter to the human relations ( i couldnt find an orc relations or a goblin relations rep. lol) on the Reaper front, finding out statistics like how much lead they use a year or costs and stuff.
and also found the GW prices and stock information that will be useful.
so all in all , this is going to be so much fun, and ill keep you all posted!

These are the oldest texts I know of dealing with the subject. And if I remember correctly, Little Wars has a copy of the rules set that the English Military was wargaming with at the turn of the 20th Century.
