I painted NIPPLES!

I don\'t know what it is about me and nipples, especially on big fat disqusting creatures, but ... well I guess its becoming a fetish.

Anyhow, here are a couple of Ogres that I have worked on along with eight others as part of an army.

I\'m rather pleased with them overall and plan to experiment more with metalics in the future as well as snow as I\'ve done on these bases. Not 100% satisfied with the snow, but overall I think it achieved the look I was going for.

Comments and critiques are welcome.

Nice pieces. As far as nips go (in general), IMO, they are usually too dark, too colorful and too hard edged. I would make them a shade of the flesh tone and slightly feather the edges.....IMO. (homer voice) mmmmmmm nipples.lol

not that I don\'t like a good nipple...

but they are overshadowed by the wonderful job with the glossy blood paint and the very cool looking snow.

Good stuff Nathan.

Actually, I had started to do that and I just didn\'t like the look that I was coming up with, was actually coming out something closer to what Peter did with his Butcher (love that piece) but it just didn\'t \'click\'. So, I went back over it again and then went with something that ... well broke up the monotony a bit, thus the darker nipples that just kinda jump out.

Heh, I know, I know ... not exactly the way it would work but I figured it was a fantasy Ogre!

I wasn\'t sure about the warpaint/blood and gloss combination to tell the truth but I decided to go ahead and go with it. I had hoped to maybe add a bit of highlights or make it more \'transparent\' but it just didn\'t work out that way so I just went along with it. Got another eight that I\'ll show here soon that I had a lot more fun with the warpaint.

The Irongut originally looked like a damn flower child because my \'free hand\' (people will laugh at that, seeing as to ubber paint gods that can do those frilly tats and stuff and here I have a crude warpaint setup) so I had to go in and redo the flesh a bit to make the warpaint look more like a maw and less like a daisy.

Appreciate the votes and comments. Feel free to pick it apart as that helps me with future work.

...been and voted. ;) Very nice I bet the unit looks good together? I like the bases and the warpaint,if everything had checks and warpaint on it the world would be a safer place lol :p I\'d shade the flag a little more,maybe like you\'ve done the troosers on the other one,they look cool.That one is my favourite of the two,the blades,well done bronze,and that head all work for me! Nice job (btw when I saw the title of this thread I thought you had some seedy body painting confessions :rolleyes: ) lol

Chiming in...

..with my 2 cents worth on nipples.
I\'ve seen a lot of nipples of the unairbrushed, untouched up variety, and lemme tell ya (Southside Chicagoese) they come in all shades. :flip:
I\'ve seen some pretty contrasting nipples vs skin color, and I really like your ogre nipples. :D:D
The glossy blood is a neat contrast to the matte finish of the rest of the figure.
