hmmm...

All I get here is the \'red x\'s\' but when I use the url, I can see the pics...

Very nice, but do you know what the little blue \'lizard\' thingy in each pic?? Seems kind of odd and out of place.

EDIT::: I see the second set of pics...The waywatcher and the glade riders (YAY NEW HORSES) are very cool.

dun o about the blue lizard, guess Gw decided they needed a wood elf mascot. But other then that I really love the new wood elves. and the mini fit the color scheme I wanted to give them, hopfully they\'ll be out this summer :bouncy:
the dyrades are awsome :D

Sorry if this has already been answered, but do you figure that the Wood Elves will herald a new edition of WFB or that they\'ll come out with a few more armies (Chaos Dwarves, ...)?

I think there are talks of a chaos dwarf making a come back. we already had a glimpse with the cannon that came out for the summer campain. and after that new edition with a remake of the empire.

Darn Cool...

the archers are rather good for a basic regiment...
The wardancers are friggin\' cool! And they lost that horrible hairdo! Yay! (OMG! The Beastmen attack! - One moment, where\'s my hairgel?)
The new horseys are fantastic... I don\'t see any specific way to say it\'s an elven (or non-elven) steed, however... New Horse for the next generation WFB???
The wizard is also way good, same for the waywatchers (though the old ones were good, too.), but the dryads... SCARY! Honestly, I was hoping more for some kind of nekkid gals with bark-skin, but well... this woks just fine, too :D

Yes, the double-spear guys are going to be a new unit, like \"guardians of whatnot\"... way cool models...
Another new unit are the treekin, like half-way between dryad and Treeman (come in \"regiments\" like Trolls or Ogres).
Also, given that there is allegedly an entry for a Treeman Lord, one might be able to play a pure \"spirits of the forest\" army without elves whatsoever... (\'course this army would be low on magic, but hey!)
Sounds pretty nice so far :)
Not that I could afford a new GW army

The new design looks great from what I see in White Dwarf and on the GW site.
Finally an Elf Steed that doesn\'t look like a cartoon character. The new ones are very unique.
I have 3 army boxes on pre order for my own personal army.
Does anyone have any idea what the \"Wild Riders of Kurnous\" are in the White Dwarf preview of the wood elves? They kind of look like the Glade Riders, but are enhanced quite a bit. They are not listed as a separate unit for purchase so far.
Ill see if I can get a good scan of the photo if no one knows what they look like.

I believe that the Riders of Kurnous are a body guard unit for Orion. The page in White Dwarf mentions something about them in this near their picture. I really like all of the spirits of the forest so far. I am not quite as sure about the half masks that seem to go with all of the basic troops and even the horses though.

I\'m a bit depressed that they haven\'t made some Wood Elves Cavalry riding on the back of Stags. It seems that would have made them very unique.

If you\'re looking for some more info there is a good bit on the wood elf codex here. If you are into wood elves don\'t miss the rest of the site.

@Baltius- I can\'t figure out if it\'s one of GWs custom modifications or if they will sell it as a premolded model. I also cant tell if its a unique unit apart from the glade riders that will have their own profile in the army book. Makes rpe ordering a little difficult. Also, the Horse heads on the wild riders look nothing like the ones on the glade rider steeds.
@Supervike - I agree they should further set the wood elfs apart with a new type of steed. A stag as a mount is a great modification idea - if not a challenging one...

Overall, I can see an issue again with trying to paint the elf faces within the half helmets. The high elfs were very difficult for me. But they seemed to have improved the facial features on the glade guard. Looks more like LOTR models. It looks like it will be easier to paint the features, I hope Im right, since I will probably end up painting over a hundred of them.

i was also hoping....for a more \'woodsy\' type mini. Don\'t get me wrong, I still like them, but some of my favorite Wood Elf minis from way back were the beastmasters. There was one with bears, boars, and leopards. Very unique and very cool to paint!
