As I’ve mentioned several times in this rant, I hate to paint.

Parts of it are pretty funny (and true), but I think what I quoted above is his real issue. This guy doesn\'t like to paint and doesn\'t do it as well as others, so he condemns the whole thing. Then calls it \"satire\" and \"parody.\"

It\'s the equivalent of saying, \"screw you\" and then backpedaling with \"haha, just kidding.\" C\'mon, folks, have the balls to state your opinion and then stand behind it without all the politically correct disclaimers.

I have only one comment about the content itself: Wanting to paint to the best of your abilities is not the same thing as \"getting bent out of shape over painting toy soldiers.\" In fact, spending the time to gather photos and write a long rant sounds a lot closer to \"getting bent out of shape\" over something. <G>

Was still an entertaining read, especially the part about Gene Simmons. :bouncy:

Actually, I don\'t think it\'s funny. It looks like a really bad attempt at \"Maddox-funny\", but unlike Maddox, he has no real \"stupid truth\" in this thing. He can\'t paint and so just degenrates to a disgruntled teenager and says that people who paint better than him \"can\'t get laid\". Yeah well.... I also write better articles than him

Markus - didn\'t you know? If you use tap water in your paints the salts will make all the paint flake off and go yellowy in a couple of years. All your minis are totally screwed, sorry.

I am sooo screwed. Let me just throw my lead against a wall and paint them with unthinned krylon straight from the can and complain that I cannot score below the \'talon of roc\'.

The salts contained in tap water will attack the plastic and cause it to disintegrate long before the paint peels off, so in the long run you only have to worry about paint problems on metal figs.
