I think you can drink for this one...

So I\'ve noticed recently that pretty much every time I get something up on the TL7D, that invaribly it will get \"reported\" at least once or twice in that week. Has anyone else noticed this as well?

Do you think this is intentional, and a slightly altered method of snipping, or just a natural result of that many more views, and simply the averages say someone will get impatient and not let the image load fully? Which is what I figured at first, but it seems to happen to me now without fail.

Don\'t get me wrong, it\'s WAY better than normal sniping, I actually kind of like it as the mini gets a rest from the TL7D list, and keeps it\'s score. I was mostly just wondering. (I\'m the curious type :D )

That and I needed a drink this morning :(

*gluglugluglug....*

...ahhhh!

I need another one.... :p

Seriously, I don\'t think this is anything to worry about. I\'ve accidentally reported my own minis several times due to not letting them finish loading until I click on something and nothing\'s ever happened.

haha, I\'m not worried or anything, mostly just curious, I\'ve reported my own on more than one occassion as well :)

My point was, that since I\'ve accidentally reported my own minis several times (and others at countless times), it is quite probable that other people accidentally report yours. For intstance, one situation where I\'ve often accidentally reported minis is when I want to vote on something and vote before the page is fully loaded. With a high scoring mini like yours (and an impressive one as well) that is bound to happen now and then.

what do you mean by reported? you really mean someone is reporting your images to the staff for any reason? does someone feel offended by your work lol ?
i reckon the plummet of the rating is easily explained: true, some people are sniping the images for some reasons but i guess its a fact that people like you, dragonsreach, klute, tidoco and even i hang around quite frequently here.
thus its only natural that those people see your images first and give them a little boost
i dont say that we give higher ratings than a painting deserves but i do think us painters do rate more generous with other well painted minis, thats why the comment rating is mostly .5 higher than the average since most people writing comments are either friends, people you know or just people who paint themselfs.
so my guess on sniping: there is no long term sniping int he tl7d\'s, its just fluctuation :)
just my 2 cents

With reported, we mean reported as broken image. Something that happens when a image file becomes broken, but also if loading a page is timed out or if you click on a link before the page is fully loaded.

I actually think I agree with both of you (great no topic thread Eric!).

As Ritual just said, I\'m not talking about scores, its simply whether a mini is active or not. It\'s funny, I actually have to admit that there was a time when I contemplated trying to report my own mini to get it off the TL7D, then I came to my senses and got back to painting. lol

I sometimes get over zealous with voting and do not let the pages completly load. This usually happens when I see something that I do not like. :D Pictures like Eric\'s Ogre, I will look at for several minutes, so I can fully digest all that has been done, so those never get reported, just drooled over. :D

I didn\'t realise stopping a picture load could cause a \'report\'. I\'m guilty of stopping loads due to really long load times and my impatients. Sorry:(

It\'s only reported if it automagically goes to the next pic and \"broken image reported\" shows up in the upper right hand corner of the page. Pressing \"Stop\" before the pic has loaded WILL cause a report. Voting before the pic has fully loaded WILL cause a report (had this happen a few times on 33.6k when I\'d accidentally vote with about two lines of pixels yet to load). Closing the window/tab prematurely will NOT cause a report.
