..........as if.

Going to be travelling to Chicago on Tuesday for a week, and don't know what my Hotel WiFi situation is going to be like.
If I can I'll check in morning and evening.

So there might be a slight backlog.

Chi town eh? I wave at you from 3 hours south of there.

/wave

Enjoy yourself while your there. Many things to see, personally enjoy the museums there. You can literally spend all day at the Mitchell museum alone.

Have fun in almost Toronto! Best of luck at world expo!

Going to the 8th international Urban Sketchers Symposium.
(World Expo was earlier this month, couldn't afford to spend a whole month in the US., mores the pity.)
Aiming to meet up with some wonderful artists and learn a lot......also Dick Blick is increadibly cheap for the watercolour paper I've started using, roughly 1/4 the price of the UK.

Warm up piece of a wall and gate close to my home.

Even better sir! I like that palette. I just got back from Victoria BC. I should upload some of my WC sketches.

Beautiful colours... I love watercolour works because they can be so bright and shiny! Good luck with those meetings and may you learn a lot of interesting things. ^^
A local teacher and watercolour painter told me once a while ago that "Sennelier" produces some of the finest watercolour pigments around the world... maybe you would want to check them out for yourself. ;)

I'm back!

CHICAGO was an experience and a half.

We were based on South Wabash at the Roosevelt University and went to a great number of places, Millenium Park, The Bean(where I got really sunburnt, cos that thing reflects some light!!!!!!!)
Sat drawing under the "L", Crap that thing is noisy!
Found that Starbucks in the 'States is a Quantum Leap in Quality Better than the UK (won't set foot in one over here),
Pret A Manger was also much better,
Dick Blicks is F###ing way cheaper than the UK for the art paper I've started using.
(£28.10 for a 9x12 cold Press watercolour block = US price $13.80)

Great time, met some great friends, hugged same (girls as well), made new friends, spoke to and had fun with US director of Hannemule papers (taught him the term "Barmpot"), met the owners of Daniel Smith Watercolour paints.
Spent all day Sunday acting as a Salesman for Rosemary Brushes(*) at Palette and Chisel private artist group.

(* Symi Jackson and I became good friends at last years symposium so was delighted to find we were on the same flight home.)
