Tragedy in woodland.
Quiet family picknick turns to tragedy as 43 year old father is beheaded in front of his family……

I\'d have loved to have been at the health and safety meeting when that idea was first pitched...
\" right we have a solution to the dangers of employess climbing trees near power lines to trim them...This idea will totally revolutionize safety in dealing with this potentially costly problem....
First we get 10 buzzsaw blades....
we weld them together and create a belt drive making a 12 foot multiblade circular saw......
we then hang it by a cable under a helicopter..now we get a pilot to hover above and near the cables feeding the saw between the cables into the tree and therefore trimming the trees.....
so what do ya think?????\"

Well, it is probably safer for the guy cutting! He\'s above where the branches are going to fall, any cut power lines don\'t fall on him, and touching the cable won\'t do a whole lot because he\'s not grounded.

Small woodland creatures actually IN the trees. Yeah. Not safe for them.

I\'m really surprised they don\'t have a tractor with an arm similar to a backhoe with the saw attachment.
Seems simpler.

Yeahhhhh, but not so big on the cool factor, or off road ability.

Plus, if you put it on a tractor, they guy cant say, yeah, I fly around with a 20 foot chainsaw hanging under my chopper.

Which, knowing the girls around here, would work a treat :D

Yeah, I\'m not greedy.

@ED - I think they actually use this thing in areas where they can\'t get other equipment due to the terrain.

Wonder if it\'s covered with stickers that say - \'DO NOT USE WHILE BATHING\" \"DO NOT OPERATE WHILE INTOXICATED\".

That is pretty cool but i would hate to explain how i nudged the control and cut through the power lines, knocking out power to the county.

Screw knocking out the electric! I\'d be more worried about getting tangled up and making a face plant in my shiny flying machine! MAYDAY! MAYDAY!

Having said that i\'d love to try and cut up a bunch of things with it...attack cars and the like. Juuust to see how far I can go
