If you cannot find someone here try your local gaming stores. There are three GW stores in Michigan; Dearborn, Auburn Hills, and Novi. I have no idea where those are, or how close they are to you. The one near me always has some folks painting it in, and they always seem ready to talk when I ask. Still, I have heard many stories about people getting the cold shoulder at GW stores.
If you are willing to pay, you might want to check out other hobby stores. Michaels Arts and Crafts has hobby classes. Once upon a time my mother took classes on statue painting. She painted 8\" to 12\" Santas. It\'s much larger scale, but the techniques are very similar. She showed me how to dry brush and do washes.
If you lived in Athens I\'d be glad to help. But Michigan is a bit of a commute.
