Ice, Ice .........

Bought some model snow ages ago and never got around to trying it out so had to give it a go. So the inspiration for this miniature was ice, blues, white etc I did\'nt do much planning just painted.

In general v. good, base is nice, although sometimes I think this kind of snow can look more like foam.
IMO the face lets it down quit badly, a lack af deinition and it\'s kind of muddy looking, more on the left side than the right.

I also think some amends to the face might really make this mini pop. Just some brighter points of light so that the face becomes a more natural focalpoint. Also start with the blush slightly under the cheek and don\'t let it go all the way up to the eye.

But all in all a great job! I\'m happy that you are getting back to the hobby! I remember some great progress when you were active. Can\'t wait to see the farseer from the WIP thread, finished it\'s looking really promising.

I like this too - the snow does indeed look suitably \"snowy\" and sparkles as natural snow can in sunlight. I just wonder if a aler skintone might have been more suitable to fit with the cold surrounds? Just a thought - great work.

Thanx for the nice coments , I painted this one in a relatively quick time compared to some of the others I do, i was just to eager to try out the snow. Thanx for the advice on the face it probaly could do with a bit of work but i\'ll probaly leave this one how it is now.

I think all in all in looks pretty good, but I am not so big on the face, as stated by others.

I think a little more highlghting using white would be better as well. I know from my experinces in the snow, all the reflected light from the snow tends to wash everything out, even the brightest colors loose some intensity due to the reflected light.
