\"I annoyance you now all... ... by speaking German. I find, we should all English talk here, because it concerns an international side, but I wanted now simply which against the French Thread to hold And? Who speaks German here still in such a way? And am I to annoy times all Nichtdeut and probably also some Germans, by I Ruhrpottisch speech? Yes, correctly, me is boring....\"

Gotta love Babelfish. It is still gibberish, but just enough to actually be fun...lol

Ok I admit I used Babel fish too, Nichtdeut is obviously non-germans, and everything else I can work out other than Ruhrpottisch. Is it something to do with unpolitical maybe?

Anyone remember finn\'s mighty translating software?

No....Oh well it was an old thread....

My cheapo software gave me this translation:

I worse you now all...

... in that I speak German. I admittedly find, we should talk all English here, because it is about an international side, but I simply now wanted to hold something against the French Thread

And? Who still speaks here so German? And I shall paint all non-German and probably annoy also some Germans in that Ruhrpottisch speaks I?

Yes, right, I am boring....

Interesting...at least the \'gist\' remains the same...:D

*EDIT* Mosch would have to arbitrate, but my cheap GBP 4.99 LIDLs software competes pretty well with babelfish.:D

Of course you couldn\'t work out Ruhrpottisch ;) The area I live in is called \"The Ruhrpott\" (take away one t and you have an English approximation) because it\'s the area around the Ruhr. The thing the Ruhrpott is famous for is coal mining, and having a lot of polish workers didn\'t help the education the coal miners usually had. So basically we end up with an... interesting accent/lingo/whatever here. With colourful curses. Outside of the Ruhr area I have never heard someone say something like \"Erpelarsch\" or \"Tortensack\".

OK, try translating this one:
\"Samma, kannze mir getz ma en Kurzen holn?\"
End quote my grandfather.

Ich kann natürlich auch weiterhin Hochdeutsch schreiben, aber das hilft euch ja wohl kaum :p

Oh, and \"Mir ist langweilig\" would be \"I am bored\", not \"I am boring\".... although that might be debatable :D
(My girlfriend says it isn\'t.)

My mighty engine produces this translation:

\"Samma, kannze me getz ma en short holn\"????

*EDIT* Writing high German certainly helps with software transaltion...

voila:

I can still write High German of course, but this probably hardly helps you

Actually my grandfather asked for a glass of liquor....

Samma - Sach ma - Sag mal - \"Tell me\"
kannze - kannst du - \"can/could you\"
mir - \"me\"
getz - jetzt - \"now\"
ma - mal - einmal - can\'t really translate it...
en - einen - \"one/a\"
Kurzen - A \"short one\" is liquor in a 2cl glass
holn - holen - \"fetch\"

\"Say, could you fetch me my liquor now\" would be an appropriate translation I think...

Also wisst ihr jetzt, was ihr zu sagen habt, wenn ihr hier in Herne was trinken wollt :p

I always prefer to guess the translation from my very poor high school knowledge anyway, for example the above I am sure says \"and now here comes my big camel\"

How exactly do you manage that...? Oh, and it should be \"grossen\", but don\'t expect any German idiot you find on the street would notice the difference....
[rant]I remember a TV show that asked people on the street about the war in Iraq. One guy was so absolutely bloody braindead, he was asked how George Bush\'s first name was. He actually did confess he had no idea. Keep in mind, the question was \"What is George Bush\'s first name?\". He also did not know Saddam Hussein\'s last name but at least he know that he was born in England. Just like George Bush. And he had no idea where the war against Iraq actually took place (yes, right.. Iraq.... he didn\'t know....).
My blood pressure just reached its peak again, I\'ll stop now....[/rant]
