Just saw this mini http://www.coolminiornot.com/?id=25774

How in the H*** did he make those icicles? I am working on a mini now that could certainly benefit from this effect, any ideas? I am also planning on painting some Kislevites and I am sure the technique could come in handy for them as well!???

I don\'t know how it was done in that picture, but one way I have tried is to get some invisible thread and dribble some water effect stuff down it. Leave it to dry, rinse and repeat. Its a different shape to those icicles (more like icicles that have partially melted). Another option would be to make a little cone shaped mould and use the stuff that Temperance used to make his gelatinous cube.

Hmmm... Wolfen... luverly

Vahilor is one of my favourite painters on this site and his Wolfen are out of this world. He\'s a dab hand at the old basing as well. Fortunately he is also around quite often, so he may well answer your question himself:D

Yeah actually he just did on a personal email. Cut out little triangles of plastic and spread/dipped them in UHU and them repeated a time or two.

Just got back from the best Train store in Denver and I asked them how to make an icicle. The guys there said to use clear silicone glue/caulk, snip the applicator tip for a very small hole. Bead a little up. stick it where you want it, then draw it down without squeezing the tube. It will draw to a point, let it dry for 24 hours and you have a cool, though still flexible icicle!

I think I may try both ideas and see what I come up with.

UHU only takes some minutes to dry. It\'s normaly a clue for paper. And by the way I\'m female :D.

You have made my day....

I was getting warm, glowy feelings about the creator of such works of art. At least I know I am not turning gay..:D At my age it\'s a bit too late for any radical changes like that:bouncy:

My Apologies

My ardent apologies for my egregious assumption my lady! (followed by a doff of my hat and a sweeping bow!). Your work is excellent and I hope I can get anywhere near that excellence with more years of practise! And thanks for again for pointing me in the right direction!
