If not miniatures....

I'm sure we've had this topic before, but it's always good for conversation.

Lets say we live in a world where miniatures do not exist.....

Where would your creativity be channelled?

Before I got into this I was learning to knit, and doing patchwork and quilting - sounds old fashioned but you can plan a project, prep all the parts and then create something interesting; it's a lot like painting minis!

Watching more movies/tv and reading more. All non-participatory type things. Or building lifesize Halloween yard decorations and storage sheds to house them in. :)

I'd be doing one of two things:

A) Inventing Miniatures
B) More Digital Graphics - I <3 the control I get. Ctrl-z FTW! (as much as I hate stInkscape, the Space Wolves banner I'm working on is looking nice. I've rendered what I have done at 1680x1050 and am using it as my desktop BG)

I've always enjoyed doing uber cute figurines. More canvas work. Abstract sculpture. My life's dream is to illustrate childrens books.

tattooing...
i love the history of the craft, and the sound of the machine...
if i hadn't spent half my life boppin' around the world, i would be a tattoo artist right now...
unfortunately, the grit of the road and tattoo needles don't mix...

cheers

More sketching for sure. Which might have ended up with more finished "ta da" pieces than I normally end up with.

Without minis exerting their lure might well have gone further on the path to digital art an all. Could have had more time and inclination to pursue creative writing an all.

Then again, might just been left with so much time for porn I'd make myself sore.

Probably writing or getting back to an even older hobby of restoration of things mechanical - like the one in my avatar, that was fun.
