Hmmm, a life size Princess Leia with the removable slave outfit.

Sculpted in silicone rubber no doubt. Pervert... or should I say Pygmalion? ;)

A lot of magic cards would make interesting minis - say what you will about the game itself, they got *good* art done for some of the cards. Interesting characters too.

As for what I\'d sculpt, see my avatar for a hint. I\'m obsessed with this guy. I really have to practice so maybe I can actually make that Freeman mini someday. That, and the uber-alternative comic book character \"Octobriana\".

Somewhere in the WIP topic i posted 5 or 6 Magic cards i rumaged out of the box at the local comic book shop that i\'d like to sculpt. Most were goblins/orcs but one was the angel Miss Demeanor from the Unglued series. i think she\'d be a better mini than this angel although both are great! Mainly i\'m a goblin freak... and since there aren\'t a whole lot of goblin mnis out there i pick up goblin art where i can (even off these boards) and set out to sculpt them. Right now i\'m sculpting up a goblin Ari drew for me... with a few things slapped on. Oh, and i\'m also converting Reaper\'s goblin sgt into an assassin. ALSO i\'m on the 11 person sculpting team making the cyberpunk angel! Problem is... there\'s WAY too many good ideas out there, and not enough time for them all!

So here\'s what you do. Get a mini that\'s cool and that you can see a convertion in. Then break out your grinder (read dremel) and take out what you plan to convert... and a little extra. Now belly up to the bar and whip out your green stuff. First repair the lost detail, then when that dries add on your convertion. Getting used to GS awefull fast, no? Why not try a face? Why not try TWO faces stuck together (quite a task... took me 3 months and a couple tries)? How about breaking out some wire, building a frame and builking it out? Now add some of those details, just like doing a convertion. HOLY COW! You just made a mini! Now run wild with all your ideas (ie; your angel) and then post about how you\'ve all these ideas for sculpts and no time to get them all done ;) Then the cycle\'s gone full circle and the world\'s right agian.lol

Too bad you didn\'t mention it on the sculpting project thread. That theme came up. Finally we decided for a more hi-tech version. But maybe you could help us define the final look (we haven\'t started sculpting yet :( ).

What would I like to Sculpt?

Well since you ask:
A really great Dragon, all Muscle and menace.
A realy good Elf bust, all haughty and distainful.
A hero, Battered and bruised, pushing himself back up from his knees, with a look and attitude that says: \"Right Who\'s Next!\" ...

That and a few thousand other things.

Weeeellll.... I get that ALL THE TIME... scuse the caps...

Seriously. I get pretty tired sometimes because I see sooo much sculpts in soo many cool things..

Some of you might remember me from the early minipainter list? I strated out with an angel mini long ago.. That was my first real sculpt. So, angels were always on my list. Now I have started (and am progressing) with Mara (www.miez.nl/putty-n-paint) the 80 mm angel. It is not unlike that Divine transformation thingy in my mind, only Mara\'s got a big sword and she is not standing just in front of an tornado..

But here\'s an idea in that Elf bust... hmmmz. Thanks a lot... another idea... :D

Well, if anybody wants to try, I\'d say grab some wire and putty and start pushing putty. Getting to that stage is the first hurdle to take. :)

Both here and at the 1listsculpting yahoo group we have members that can help out with advice. So, if you start a thread on it you can get guidance. At 1listsculpting we do that all the time since a lot of people start their first sculpt there.

Oh, and for those that would feel a bit embarrassed to do something like this in public, mail me and I\'ll see what I can do.

Oh, I may actually start on an angel as well, alongside the group project here.

I like the angels that are coming out at the moment... Gael via Sacred Blade has one, and also that new one by Werner for his own range... very nice!

I have actually just tried to sculpt my first mini, but it looks nothing like I\'ve imagined it. Well, that was to be expected :D I have about four point nine million ideas for minis, I just can\'t sculpt them....

Hm. I should take a picture of my current little guy so you can all have a laugh ;)

Well, this is my first sculp, or actually it\'s still WIP. I gave up after I had messed up the face. She looks like she has some sort of lip- and eye disease lol
Anyway, I tríed to sculpt my Warhammer RPG charachter, and luckily my charachter lost one arm in the middle of my work, which made things a whole lot easier. But the head and face was too big of an obstacle at the time. I still use her in the RPG though, even if she\'s slightly out of scale.

sculpting...

Is an incredible art and I too wish I could do it.

I have always drawn, but sculpting seems so much more...complete.

I have played around with sculpting and I find it incredibly fun as well.

If I could sculpt anything, well then I would sculpt EVERYTHING.
