How \"moveable\" are the Reaper dollies???
It\'s best not to bend them more than once. Range is limited. For more extreme poses it\'s better to use a wire armature.

I suppose GW plastic skellies could fit the bill.
Er, aren\'t they all hunchbacks? :D Anyway, keep in mind that those skellies have fairly heavy bones. So don\'t use them for thin figures. And I\'d replace the skull with a blob so you can add a thicker layer of putty. And don\'t use them in sculpts that have to go through a vulcanizer.

Now you mention it they would be chicken breasted hunchbacks:D

No offense meant to hunch backs or people with protruding chests.Of course.

That one\'s nice, although certain garments of hers are bit too small for my taste.

Well, certain garments are a bit large for my taste.

The only problem is that her incredibly muscular calves and \"classy\" high heels remind me of a shemale. :D

And Mike, I might try some doodling in Fimo soon, and then I will doodle up a face of an Elf Noble, all haughty and disdainfull....
You going to get it cast up? Or is this just going to be a \"One off\"

I\'ve got a couple of ideas for how I wanted to sketch him, long plaited hair coming down from his temples and a Teardrop shaped Pearl earring. Was considering Epithantic folds for the eyes giving him a slightly \"oriental\" look.

Just an idea for those who can convert but not yet sculpt:

These dollies have faces and poses already. To me they are a bit crude but they are usefull to make your mini with.

I almost ordered some of these but the problem is the faces. They are really strong-featured, to the point where they really aren\'t suitable for true \"generics\". If your character has more refined features (eg Elves, petite females), you\'ll have to sculpt a whole new face... which defeats the point of generics. I guess they\'d be ok for making an RPG character if the outfit and gear needed to match but the face wasn\'t a big deal.

What would I like to Sculpt?

Well since you ask:
A realy good Elf bust, all haughty and distainful.
Damn it, somebody beat us to it.

I\'ll still post pics of mine on the WIP thread. I\'m on the armor right now.

Talk about great minds thinking alike. I must admit to that being a really nice bust, seriously tempting but there is a real problem about getting anything else at the moment. I need to sell some stuff first!

I\'m really looking forward to seeing your version.

:)

Oo, oo, that would be awesome!! I\'d like to see them modeled after the Yvonne Gilbert artwork on the covers of my copies.

Sorry, just found this thread and got excited by someone who\'s also read those books. :D

If I could sculpt that small (I can sculpt, but not mini-size) I would sculpt my own unique minis for all of my RPG characters.

:bouncy:
