All you lovers of good books if you are enjoying the Forever Wars try this BEAUTY :beer: :drunk:
GATES OF FIRE by STEVEN PRESSFIELD.
Now is a perfect time to draw your attention to this book as its a superb historical novel about the 300 Spartans at Thermopalaye.
It isnt just a great hack & slay book, it also goes into Spartan society and also the role of Spartan women.
Its such a good read I finished it in 2 DAYS, my wife who is well educated & a literature expert read it in 5 DAYS ,and said its the BEST histotrical novel shes ever read,try it !

P.S. Is it accurate ? Check out the long list of Proffessors at the back of the book who helped the author get it right !

Also try reading any of Iain Bank\'s Sci Fi stuff, very similar in style (although his name is Iain M. Banks on his sci fi books) The Player Of Games is pretty stand out.

And also check out The Bridge and Whit, both books by him which look at people trying to \'fit\' into different cultures. (Whit is the better of the two)

And while im on the subject of Iain Banks, one book which EVERYONE should read is The Wasp Factory, absolutely amazing book.
