Cheers Tee :) It's all one big "experiment". No idea what to do with the sword yet though...Blue or metal is the thinking, just undecided and all ideas are welcome. My only Marine based plans after this is probably a Space Wolf conversion, looking forward to testing my mettle on something else at this point. Maybe try NMM just because...

See, white i'm ok with. At least it covers. Yellow just does what it likes...Which is mostly being incredibly translucent and mean spirited. It's like trying to paint a wall with egg yolk...

Cheers, the base is actually part of another pet project but i'm tempted to do a similar base for this job. As you mentioned, the purple would really set it off...And it's not yellow.

Cheers Bam. Tried to make it so it was a more subdued yellow. Not super bright or "orangy" which a bunch turn out to look or "beigey". Mostly an exercise in revisiting glazes, re-hilighting, working backwards etc so *hopefully* the next thing I do i'm feeling a bit more confident after a massive break. There will be more in the near future!
The red is just super shiny right now so mostly ignore that...It'll show once it's been matte varnished.

I think any thread declaring itself to not be spam is spam, and any poster is a spammer....

That said, that’s some really nice yellow spam you’ve got here, yellow is a difficult color, so well done. I love the contrast with the dark tones of the base. Great job, TBS.

It's actually a pleasure to see you about Chad! I am mostly spam in this forum lets be honest. There's this other spammer I know...Cass something or other...

Yeah I chose it to really fill my gaps after about 4 years of "fuck this shit". It's proven fruitful if not annoying, but hey what are we as painters without that personal rage and self loathing lol. Skel is probably one of the most self accomplished emos I know after all.

Fun fact, Eustace lives within 30 minutes of me...

I enjoy the show, but I only watched the first few episodes. I need to binge it. Eustace was building something not far from our job site once, as we went to lunch I yelled “guess you only use power tools when the cameras are gone?!?” The guy with him thought it was funnier than he did.

It is beautiful country, especially when you get away from populated areas.

The marine? barely escaped a hammer and a high velocity impact with a wall. Observe. Now completely black washed and do overingness will be attempted now i've had time to calm down. Not been working on much recently due to goings on with illness and certain thorns needing pruned again.

On no less than 4 counts now because of this thread have I craved a bit of fried spam or bacon roll...

At this point i'll be squeezing out the rest of this guy like this mornings tacos and calling it done. Sick of looking at it now tbh.
