im trying to build the \'SM Landing Craft\' i need some help

yes im trying to build the space marine landing craft, but i only have one picture, so i was wondering if eny of you have eny pictures that you can put up, like maybe you have one, cos im not going to buy one just for a reffrence (£25 i dont think so lol ).

ok i REALLY need some help with this, there must be one of you out there with the epic SM landing craft. go on be a hero and show me some pictures. cos GW have one picture and thats all i can find. ???

Are you building it at 40k scale? That\'s going to be one massive model. A good metre and a half long at least. Crikey!

If you are looking for a size comparison there\'s a predator turret on each of ramjets at the back.

In the rules I think it was meant to carry 6 rhino type chassis.

Maybe the payload is the best place to start for scale.

As to why you would stick a turret on top of a jet engine your guess is as good as mine.

Cracking model, kept meaning to buy one when I was staff so that it only cost an arm but not the leg.

if you can afford it forge world might have some imperial resin kits that would help build the tail.

try using balsa wood covered with plasticard and green stuff for the body

well thanks a lot for all that. iv started building in it thin cardbored just to see if it looks ok, iam sort of making up the mecherments so...... ill try and get some pictures up as i go along, but it wont be soon.

P.S if eny of you have this model please send it to me, you will get it back, or if not just put up some pictures of it, like the back, bottom all the places i need to see really :idea:

@ Bogun - can\'t QUITE tell from the GW pic, but to me it looks as though the predator turrets are on a platform JUST above the ramjets, but I could be wrong :p

wow ... i love that idea. i thought about building several t-hawks for transporting purpose, but your project is much better. i think i\'ll build one as well. all bitz necessary should allready be part of my current box.
the grappers on the sides could maybe made from defiler arms. the front, the wings and the engines should be easy to do.

How scratch are you looking to scratch build from?

If you can find the old school (1970\'s) Batttlestar Galactica kit it would be a good place to start in my opinion.

I think they re-released it a couple of years back
