I'm currently working on a Wedding cake topper for a friend using two figures from Guild of Harmony.
MAN, they are seriously high quality, no moulding lines, excellent sculpting and Steampunk!

Good to see people breaking the mould and putting personality into their weddings...Steampunk Bride and Groom...Love it!

I'm going to attract some flak, and suggest Mierce Miniatures.

I like the warriors of the apocalypse by Avatars of War. I like the detail as well as the poses. They don't seem to have a lot of extraneous or useless detail like Games Workshop chaos warriors do.

I can agree that they have some very compelling minis. But, I must say, their web site needs A LOT of work. It is very disorganized and confusing. Many of their products are lacking pictures. Written descriptions of factions use, and I mean frequently use, terminology that require an understanding of the background and fluff of the setting-an understanding that people just aren't going to have that are visiting the site for the first or even fiftieth time. Also the descriptions are poorly written run on sentences more often than not. After reading the description of a faction for the fourth time, I couldn't help but wonder what I just read. I came away confused. Like many kick starters, they have a bunch of half completed factions. This isn't very helpful for someone that wants to play in the next year or two. The gamer part of me just wonders if it'll be popular enough for me to
find opponents.

The painter in me likes the miniatures. They are of a high quality, certainly, but not the best. They seem a little monster heavy to me. The Norse, for instance, don't have any units of actual Vikings. They have some Viking heroes, but the units are all monsters. Also, I think that charging for the rulebook at this stage of the game is a huge mistake. Make it free, so people get excited about your setting and it's fluff, buy your minis and tell their friends to do the same. They can cash in on charging for fluff later on, in version 3 or 4. Until then they are just handicapping their sales. Just the POV of an avid gamer AND painter.

Hard question to answer - I too like Kingdom of Death - but for individual miniatures to tell a story - I like Smart Max - quality is superior. With new companies, I like Ammon Miniatures, Imbrian Arts and the Wild West figures. But companies like Bombshell Babes, Degra, Enigma, Figone, Guild of Harmony, Infamy, Kabuki, Studio McVey, and Wyrd have some incredible individual models as well as other companies I haven't mentioned. So what I"m saying is I don't have a favorite company and unless you want a certain theme - like orcs, babes, old west, etc - you should look at all the figure companies and find what you want to paint based on size, theme, quality, and price. (IMHO)

You also may want to look at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...ure?ref=search, this is an up and coming company - no I don't have a dog in the pound - but I did pledge and looks like some great sculpting.

wow...looked at SmartMax for the first time. Friggin cool...

Just to reply, there are a number of humans for the norse, they have/are funded by the Kickstarter campaigns.
Could I ask what you consider to be the best miniatures? I am always looking for great sculpts.
