Would probably go quite well - also - those psykers have really thin piping on their jackets etc that you can do in contrasting colours (or leave the same)

ALSO: Welcome :p

Welcome to the forums :).

Before going any further, I think there should be two things you should do :

1) Clean up the mould lines (if you\'re going for a \"showcase model\" like you say, that is mandatory) on the staff;
2) Give the red coat more contrast. A light and controled dark brown wash should work up the shadows. Some light red or orange will bring out the highlights.

Have you already thought of how you are going to do the base?

Firstly thanks for the welcome messages :)

The trim on the coat i may do in gold...

The staff i think i will try NMM for the first time, and as for the base. I want street slabs...like a cityfight base as if he is dashing across a gallery or something, with and Imperial eagle on them.

Thoughts and suggestions are always welcome :)

Thanks

I\'ve found slabs of plaster cheap and easy to use to make street slabs or walls.

Basically you pour plaster of Paris (or any similar type of plaster you can find in an art and craft store) in a flat recipient (like a blister or clam shell). Once it\'s dry you can cut it, sand it, break it, scratch it, dril it, ...

....Twist it, pull it, bop it, push it...

Anyways yeah i have some Artex which I\'m making a Diorama with so I\'ll use that, or Green stuff :)

:) any tips for doing the face? I\'ll brown wash the robes now and highlight again in oranges and reds and post up a pic.

Thanks

Face - do psykers quite pale :p
Start with base dark flesh, gradually work up to elf felsh

And a grey wash to tone everything down over all the flesh colours and give him a sikly look, then do the eyes bright and they will stand out on the face and make him look powerful.

Ah thanks, i had the idea to do him quite pale...but my blending skills are not very good over such a small area as a face..i just always left dark colours in recesses and didnt blend them. Any tips for this?

Thanks

sure - a nicely pointy tipped brush :D lol

Belding needed be so refined ON that small earea as it\'s not so noticable and plus the face need sharp areas of contrast to show lines etc

Just do one or two careful layers between colours

For quick faces i do Dwarf Flesh, Brown Wash, the Elf Fllesh on the top areas.

Then a coloured wash depending on the atmosphere, reds for warmth, blues for cold and greys for pale.
