This is the latest mini that I have posted. Any comments regarding it would be most appreciated.

Beautifully done, great NMM, like the purple tones to the skin, what\'s not to love? You should be proud sir!

Are those silfor tufts on your base?

@all ... thanks for the comments. Its always heartening to receive compliments on my work.

Can anyone suggest ways that it could be improved or done differently?

I\'d say that the transitions on the coat could be smoother, the contrast seems too abrupt to me. Having said that, I do like it a lot, especially the base.

Really nice. Improvements?

The purple sash doesn\'t quite sit right with me and looks less well painted than the rest. How about introducing some of the purple into the shadows of the pistol and some of the green into the shadows of the sash? They\'re quite disparate elements at the moment, and I think that\'d help bring them together.

The wall needs \'dirtying\' up a bit more and dulling down maybe???

@ Spacemunkie . the idea behind the purple sash was that it is a mark of office; similar to the staff to mark them out in a crowd. Although to be fair he would probably stand out in a crowd regardless:D

But I get where you\'re coming from. I think a bit of tinkering tonight is called for.

Well I tinkered a bit - bullet holes in the wall and a bit of extra shading on the sash and gun. I think i\'ll try and find some small bits of junk to go on the base as well. New pics will have to wait until the weekend.

In the mean time what\'s the general consensus regarding reposts on figures that have been tweaked a bit. Do you bother to repost ? and if you do, do you delete the original pic ( which is probably what I would do).

I think the mini looks great the way it is, but I understand where he is coming from with the sash and the gun.

what types of bits are you thinking about for the base? i see the muffler or oil can there, are you going to go with more of a \"destructed auto\" look for the base?

Well I\'ve added on some bullet holes in the wall which def. help. I was going to use one of the plastic petrol cans but it\'s actually to large to fit comfortably on the base. So I\'m thinking i\'ll try and find some small cogs or perhaps a coil of wire to add on. I\'m not really aiming for any particular destructed look, just the usual collection of scrap the orks have a tendency to accumulate. I was going to post a new pic today but I rely on sunlight to take my pics and it seems to be in short supply today:(

Well blow me. Ten minutes after I posted the previous note, the cloud clears for long enough for me to take some new pics. I did add some more shading on to the gun and sash although I don\'t think it really shows up in the pic (to be fair they were quite subtle changes).
