Impressive Imperial Guard

Forgeworld never ceases to amaze me in how awesome some of their products look. The new imperial guard command squad is cool but most of all the goatee commander and vox trooper look very nice. A huge improvement over the outdated GW command squad, blah.

Forgeworld Imps

Anyone else have an opinion? I am sure you do.

Well I wouldnt call the current GW Cadian command sqyuad out dated..its only a couple years old. That and the new Forgeworld ones are made from parts of the plastic Cadians. Saying that these are very nice and will have to be ordered soon :)

I \'ll wait to see your painted version.
Mark Bedford\'s doesn\'t really cut it for me, I\'m sorry to say.
Pity as he\'s a really great bloke and good sculptor.

Wow, those are nice. I wish I could paint a couple models in a line without wanting to start an army, or I\'d buy them.

Commander: You and you, guard him while he pulls $20 out of this ATM. I need to call my wife.

But I\'m really affraid about the quality of those models - recently I bought me a Grey Knight Dread and it was awfully overcasted ....
Like 30 bucks spend on the chasis which had some major flaws:/
I would be affraid to order minis of this size , if they cannot cope with casting Dreadnoughts...

Still the models are wikid!

They are awesome. Taking a phone call out of another guy\'s credit lol that\'s a pretty nice concept.

once again we\'re in agreement, Mike! As a sculptor he is improving........

Regarding the Cadians CS, there\'s some nice concepts, but seem a little static, and the shouldered lasgun looks odd too

Granddad!
I like the commander and radio guy, but you\'d have thought they\'d have the wi-fi stuff sorted by the 41st millenium :D

You are right but I am of the opinion that huge companies like GW should bring in newer editions/models after 2 or so years of circulation.....but I am not going get into GW bashing.
I am impatient for new stuff so perhaps out-dated was a bit over zealous of me. I just want a different command squad as I find the current one to be ....for lack of a better word.....boring.

There\'s a reason you use crudgy lo-tech in the military. It\'s a lot more reliable.

Nice models but the resin all seems really flashy. And I hate cleanup :D

You sound so surprised :D
As a sculptor he is improving........
He was courteous enough to show me what he was working on at the last open day I went to, problem was the tiny piece of green stuff he was using fell off and disappeared through the crack in the table.
The look of frustration on his face as I knew he wanted to use the correct terminology for that kind of mishap. :D

Very nice models. The only thing that bugs me is that the vox caster and the commander are connected with that wire... I guess you wouldn\'t have to connect them, but then it\'d look like he\'s just chatting away on a cell phone or something. I\'d put them on the same base (like a 40mm one) but then I don\'t think it\'s game legal...
