In a state of Disrepair

I felt I just -had- to add yet another to my line of never-ending WIP's, This time around I'm going to show you my Space Wolves army to perhaps kick myself into doing something with it other than characters when I'm not working on commissions or generally just procrastinating.

Here's everything I've found this far:
SW_army.jpg

I'm not totally sure how to tackle this, my goal is to have the army repainted and up in shape. I have bought a few boxes of the new Wolves and I think I'm gonna make specific Wolf Guards out of those.

Now, I've been thinking about making 'army-sized' blocks to make this project feel a bit easier, perhaps make blocks of 1500pts with add on-blocks for heavier games of perhaps 250-1000pts.

Anyone got any other ideas on how to make this somewhat bearable?

Oh, and if you are interested in taking a closer look at anything give me a shout, then I'll take pictures of that where I can get better lightning.

Cheers.

I'm jealous. Of the amount of figs, not the amount of WORK.

Repainted and up in shape...when? Might be easier if you set yourself a timed goal, too.

Sounds good. Start with 1500 pts by X. Make a specific army list for those 1500, pick out those things in the list, add what you don't actually have, not that that would be much, and then get it done. Add another 250-500 pts. Set a date. Repeat. Would be the way *I* go.

Anyone got any other ideas on how to make this somewhat bearable?

Give up on it all and commision it out?

I am, but I can get closer views without your taking pictures. :)

spray everything space wolf grey! it would unify the army, then either
a) when you want a boring mind numbing job just to pass the time, paint in 1 detail for example the eyes on all the figures
b) feeling really in the mood then concentrate on one of characters.

Nice army BTW

Wow that's a lot of painting. This is why I'll never actually play any of the table top games. My attention span never lasts long enough for me to do a whole squad, not to mention an army so I'm sticking to just single figs. Either way, nice looking army you got there Chrome.

well, me and my missus made each other promise quite early on that we should never deny each other our hobbies, she puts up with my crap as long as I put up with her's. We're both hobbyists and complete nerds so I can't say we've had any problem with it yet. Apart from the random stray bit found by stepping on it there has been no complaints. :D

The Dread(s) will be finished... Most probably before the tank is! :rotfl:
